Bits and Pieces in Dinarland Late Monday Afternoon

TNT:

Iko Ward :
Forex is misbehaving. Hasn't polled since 7:07 this morning. Still at 1122. On OM last night a woman shared about her friend who made 11M as a newbie on Forex and then lost it all in ten minutes.

Forex may not be setting the rates, but they sure are attempting to influence them….

Usually (at least for the passed few weeks) Forex resets to 1166 between 10 and 11AM.

When Forex doesn't follow an established pattern radar comes on. Neither the Dinar nor the Dong has polled since this morning at 7:07. Normally, the Dinar polls sometime between 10 and 11AM and returns to the CBI rate of 1166.

Also, if it had been following the trend of the past three weeks it would have opened last night around 1110. Instead, it opened at 1130, an odd (uncharacteristic) number.

So somethings up. Doesn't mean we RV tonight; does mean Forex is undecided.

MOT:  A poor boy was in love with a rich man’s daughter.

One day, the boy proposed to her, and the girl said, “Your monthly salary is equivalent to my daily expenses. How can I be involved with you?”

She went on, “How could you have thought of that? I can never love you, so forget about me and get engaged to someone else of your level.”

But for some reason, the boy could not forget her so easily.

Roughly 10 years later, they stumbled into each other in a shopping mall.

She immediately said, “Hey, you! How are you? Now I’m married, and do you know how much my husband’s salary is? $15,700 per month! Can you beat that? And he is also very smart.”

The man’s eyes became wet with tears on hearing those words from the woman he used to care for.

A few seconds later, her husband came around. But before the lady could say a word, her husband saw the man and said, “Sir, you’re here! And you’ve met my wife!”

Then he turned to his wife,”This is my boss who runs the $100 million project I’ve been working on!

“And if you want to know something strange about him, he once loved a lady but he couldn’t win her heart. That’s why he has remained unmarried since.”

He went on, “How lucky would that lady have been if she had married this man right here?”

The lady looked in total shock but couldn’t utter a word.

Final Words: Life is very short and just like a mirror. You can only see as much as it reflects. So don’t be too arrogant or proud by looking down on others because of their current situations. Things can change with time, just like the weather. Don’t underestimate anyone, because everyone has a different story!

This is telling the citizens that the 25K note that is currently treated as $25 in the shops will be worth $75 in the future.  This is very good.

IN OCT. 2010 THE IMF POSTED ON THEIR WEB SITE THAT AGREEMENT WITH IRAQ WAS REACHED ON THE EXCHANGE RATE OF THE DINAR ( 4 YRS AGO ) OF $3.22 AND POSSIBLY UP TO 20% FOR INFLATION OVER THE TIME OF THE WAR WHICH HAS RISEN HIGHLY OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS.

THIS IS OLD NEWS TO THOSE OF US THAT HAVE ONLY LISTENED TO THE AUTHORITY FOR INFORMATION. YES IT IS EXCITING TO SEE ALL IS STILL THE SAME AND NOW ACTIONS ARE SHOWING IT IS HAPPENING.

Goldman Sachs: Four Reasons the Stock Market Will Move Sideways Until the End of the Year

"Flat is the new up," Goldman Sachs says. The team of analysts led by David Kostin are telling clients that they still don't think the stock market will do much through the end of 2015.

After delivering double-digit gains in recent years, Goldman doesn't expect the S&P 500 to go much of anywhere. Its outlook currently calls for an index at 2,100 at the end of this year, up just barely from 2,091, as of Monday's open.

The team gives four reasons why this is their base case:

By Goldman's calculations, the S&P 500 is currently trading at fair value.

Mediocre growth in company earnings. The firm expects earnings to be roughly flat this year, although some sectors will fare better than others.
ETFs and domestic equity mutual funds are both seeing outflows. For the first time, domestic equity ETFs are experiencing net outflows. The note says that in previous years, outflows from actively managed mutual funds were offset by inflows into domestic ETFs. Instead, the money seems to be flowing to international focused investments, as international equity mutual fund and ETF inflows totaled $187 billion.

Economic growth remains modest. The firm is forecasting GDP growth at 2.6 percent in the second half of the year.

Looking past 2015, it doesn't get too much better. Goldman's 12-month target for the S&P 500 is 2150, about a three percent gain from current levels. Taking that look out even further, the firm expects the S&P 500 to be at 2300 in 2017, about a 10 percent gain from current levels.

On the bright side the firm doesn't expect a recession in the coming years. The note points out that when asked about the potential of a recession due to factors such as the rapid decline in oil or turmoil in overseas markets like China, the firm says that a contraction is not in its forecast.

An economic contraction is decidedly NOT in our forecast. Investors point to the 18% collapse in Brent during the past six weeks, the weak macro data from China and the spillover effect on global demand growth, lingering uncertainty in Europe, and the 25 bp compression in 10-year US Treasury yields during the last 30 days (to 2.19%) as reasons for concern about a US downturn. Our response is that, while the current US expansion is long in temporal terms (6 years), the magnitude of the recovery is weak and on that basis the expansion phase is closer to early-/mid-cycle.
