walkingstick :  Maliki: what happened in Mosul plot planned in Ankara and Erbil
Monday, 17 August 2015 18:25

Reply former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki , on Monday, the announcement of results of the report of the fall of Mosul , however, " Daash , "adding that what happened in the City" plot "was planned in Ankara and Erbil.   Link

Aggiedad77:  From a safe distance, across a border, and surrounded by religious clerics that believe more in this snake than they do themselves....Maliki takes a stand....This all was cooked up in Ankara, Turkey.....yeah that sounds good, it was the Turkeys that started this whole plot for Mosul to fall....but wait it gets better......they really didn't have much in the way of motive....so sure yeah the plot moved..
....
Oh yes of course.....it landed in Erbil because the Kurds they don't never like me much, it was their plot to be hatched that Mosul fell because of what they plotted....and of course I place no value on what this Parliament commission is putting out about me, they cannot be telling the truth. Of course now that I've come forward and set the record straight you all believe me right, all is good now......why is it that he can speak so boldly now that he is out of the country.

Question is, will Iran continue to support what Iraq and the rest of the world see as a snake....sure they can, after all they have a reputation to uphold.....them and their den of thieves and terrorists.....oh and nuclear warheads that don't exist in the eyes of some.   Aloha    Randy

walkingstick :  Is al-Maliki tried militarily in Mosul file?

Alaa Yousif-Baghdad

Interact issue of the fall of the city of Mosul, however, the organization of the Islamic state after the issuance of the parliamentary investigation committee report, which blamed the failure for 35 political and military figure, led by former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki as a commander of the armed forces.

Legal does not rule out that al-Maliki, standing in front of a military tribunal, after the Iraqi parliament demanding the fall of Mosul refer the file to the civil and military justice.   Link

Aggiedad77
:  Don't get the cart before the horse....first the accused must be brought back to stand trial.....so he can be held accountable for any crimes he is convicted of perpetrating on the Iraqi people and Iraq as a country, as well as against humanity.....

Then let's decide what kind of court he will stand up in....until then it matters not......sort of a wondering after thought....did he travel to Tehran with his full army, I mean bodyguard compliment.....they still call him Vice President.....when will he cease to own that title....when do PM Abadi's reforms become effective and officially eliminate the VP and Deputy PM positions? WS do you have anything in your files that would indicate that effective date?

walkingstick:  Government documents: al-Maliki about the thousands of soldiers from the guards to the homeland to Bodyguards

Iraq 17/08/2015 10:22

Reflected harness a large number of officers and soldiers of the Iraqi army's operation to protect the officials during the take over as prime minister Nuri al-Maliki on the combat ability of the military, to be added this "scandal" revealed by government documents to file corruption and marginalization.

With the current government headed by Haider al-Abadi declaration of war on the "waste and corruption", it seems that the collapse of the Iraqi forces in front of state regulation of attacks since 2014 in one of its aspects is due to convert thousands of soldiers from the guards to the homeland to "Bodyguards".

And disclose government documents, obtained by finally "Sky News Arabic" that Maliki, who continued to rule from 2006 to 2014 did not stop the policy of marginalization and exclusion sectarian government corruption, but deliberately weakened the army and security forces.

And confirms one of these documents, issued in 2008, that the executive branch ordered within 4 months of the same year screening more than 7411 military to protect the 18 people, including al-Maliki and Ibrahim al-Jaafari and Adel Abdul Hadi and Saleem al-Jubouri.

Aggiedad77:
Why is it that the more crazy the dictator the bigger their fear of death and the greater their need for bodyguards.....

Maliki's security staff grew by leaps and bounds as he was taking office and later as he realized he was feeling threatened....plus as he began to feel more and more insecure.....afraid of his own shadow you might say.....there were several attempts on his life during his reign as PM.....paranoid I guess he was......

the crew that guarded him though was huge in size...regiments....yes regiments were pulled away from the defense of the country to merely guard a select few officials, primarily Maliki.....costing a mere $6 billion dollars annually.....sounds crazy and it is.....still to my question earlier....how many guard him in Tehran today?   Aloha   Randy

Aggiedad77:  The head of the Fall of Mosul investigation committee states that the commission did not just pull this list of names out of thin air....or from some vacuum.....but they acted in a professional and systematic manner in their approach to laying out the four or five paragraphs that summarize the condemnation of each of the individuals named in the report.....since receiving the final report Parliament has voted upon the report and approved turning it over to the Judicial Court for further processing....more to come I am sure.   Aloha   Randy

BAGHDAD / ... The head of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri, Monday, that he will follow the work of the judiciary in the investigation and prosecution of Mosul file involved.

http://ift.tt/1TPY9Mu

Aggiedad77:
I'm reasonably sure that more than just the Speaker of Parliament will be watching what the Judiciary does with this report and how they decide to move forward with any prosecution of those listed in the report......if this gets hushed up I will be totally surprised.....that would be unthinkable.....as it would totally crater the stance that PM Abadi is taking at this point with any kind of crime that was perpetrated by any level of government official.....he has to stand on his premise with this point now so more than ever.   Aloha     Randy

walkingstick:  FYI...............Iraq PM Haider al-Abadi abolishes posts of vice-president and deputy PM

August 9, 2015 11:59 BST 13 13

People shout slogans during a demonstration against corruption and poor services in regard to power cuts and water shortages, in Kerbala, southwest of Baghdad(Mushtaq Muhammad/Reuters)

Embattled Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has announced sweeping political reforms eliminating several high-ranking posts including vice-president and deputy prime minister.

The move will force Nouri al-Maliki to step down from his position as vice-president which he took over after he was expelled as prime minister. There are three vice-presidents and three deputy prime ministers in Iraq.

"The posts of vice-president and deputy prime minister would be eliminated immediately," an online statement from the prime minister's office read.

It is still unclear whether the decisions need to be ratified by the Iraqi cabinet and the parliament, but the official statement says the measures come into force with immediate effect.

As part of the reforms, Abadi has announced the security of high-ranking politicians would be reduced. According to the statement, the bodyguards "would be moved to the defence or interior ministry based on their training where they will defend the country and its people".

The moves have come after days of intense protests by Iraqis demanding stricter punishment for corruption and better handling of government services.

The prime minister's office insisted that "all special payment to government committees and retired officials would be revoked".

The increasing sectarian violence has forced the government to share power along factional lines which has drastically affected the effectiveness of the administration.

The rising tide of public anger against the Baghdad administration is also likely to influence Iraq's ongoing fight against Islamic State militants (Isis). The latest move is not entirely a surprise given the mounting pressure on Abadi to provide good governance.

Aggiedad77:
Thank you sir....I knew you had this information tucked away somewhere......so Maliki has already lost any and all titles he held in the past....the Iranians are merely trying to make nice with him and continue to give him the big head he so decidedly gave himself over the last 10 years or so.....I like the ring that has to it......"eliminated immediately".....now if we could get them to prosecute that fast too.   Aloha     Randy

Whatever:  Hey Randy, thanks for all you do here! Question: What's in it for Iran to protect Maliki? What can he do for them, other than perhaps stir up some problems for Iraq due to his former contacts, which are seemingly being routed out by the day? His money is gone, and Lord knows he isn't good-looking nor does he have a sparkling personality? OH, IMO OF COURSE..

Aggiedad77: Well more thinking on my part....yes I know that can be dangerous......where is boxman when you need him.....my thoughts turn to how prideful the ME is.....they don't like to be proven wrong.....the Iranians have long stood with Maliki....a fellow Shiite.....they most likely don't want to admit yet they were wrong in backing him.....

Plus they see much of what is transpiring within Iraq today as being somewhat guided by the West.....another thing they openly detest.....so they will most likely go to great extremes to show their displeasure with PM Abadi and most all of his government....even to the extent of advancing threats militarily as they announced over the weekend that if Maliki's name is not taken off the Mosul report list, they will turn guns against the Iraqi government starting in Anbar......idle threat.....

I seriously doubt it.....Iran is a haven of bad types, Maliki should feel right at home.....just my thoughts and opinions.....and Frank may have more to share on this.   Aloha   Randy
