Friday News Summaries and Commentaries
Will PM Abadi actually make the trip to China next week....I don't think so....there is so much momentum going his way at the moment.....he has created a firestorm with his initial round of reforms and they need to pushed forward.....plus he has another set waiting in the wings for the proper time....and I'm of the strongest opinion that timing is of the essence right now for him and for Iraq.....
I think for the next few weeks we will see Iraq kicked into a gear that we've never before thought capable for them....and the engineer driving the train will be none other than PM Abadi....he has a list and has checked it more than twice to know who has been corrupt or not....those who were will get a boot from the train.....

Dr. S will be picked up along the way as a couple of others are shown their exit....speaking of exits....will Maliki get to Tehran.....I'm thinking no....too much rides on his going to trial.....if he goes to Tehran it is the same as him vanishing into thin air.....Iraq will always be wondering when and where the snake will pop up again and in what capacity.....he has done this before....he has trained his entire family to live in such a manner....bad ones they are.
Integrity: We have distributed lists of accused of corruption at airports and border crossings
Lists....yes we have lists.....one list has many names upon it....those are the ones who will not be doing much moving around....sure they may vacation within Iraq....but approach the border or the airports and all kinds of alarms start ringing, dogs start barking, rifle bolts are heard clicking....
it would not be a wise move on their part.....as arrests are made this list may shrink in size.....of course some are more important than others but all are being watched....the Integrity Commission does their job with excellent precision....they know who they seek....and they know they can run but they cannot hide.
Abadi: individuals protect me personal (38) and officials guarded (900)
PM Abadi spoke of security personnel reductions pointing out that while he has 38 who protect him....some officials are believed to have 900 that protect them.....I guess when you have committed so many crimes you just feel more and more comfortable with an army surrounding you.....however, those numbers will be shrinking in short order.....
Abadi admits that change is not an easy thing and most people do not like change....but Iraq must change if they are expected to grow....they must change if they are to be recognized as an international entity....and in this case....change will be good and welcome by all Iraqi citizens....
The ones who will fight the change....the ones who stand against the change will be those who have kept this change from the Iraqi people for the past 10-12 years.....those who have pick-pocketed the Iraqi people and created large bank accounts for themselves along the way.
Puzzle travel to al-Maliki arrived in Tehran .. .. has not arrived yet
I must admit I will be greatly surprised to get confirmation that Maliki has shown up in Tehran......will that mean that PM Abadi has been cowered by the religious authorities in Iran.....or.....that Maliki managed to slip across the border unnoticed.....
I suspect that we are going to be reading reports of his appearance in Tehran....but be cautious of what you believe that is printed as news.....there are those who want you to think he escaped.....it plays into their hand....for their purpose.....but listen with intent to PM Abadi and hear what he says about all who appear on the lists that are now at the borders and airports.....the roundup is about to begin in earnest
I believe.....just because you see one thing in print from the media does that make it true......of course not....but they will sure want you to believe.

More news and announcements of banks in Iraq increasing their capital.....to what purpose.....why would they be doing this now......in my opinion.....they want to be players in what is to come....they want to be a viable part of the process that will take Iraq to new international heights.....to do so they must prove their worthiness to be in the game.....they do this by upping their capital to limits required by the CBI.
Abadi postpone his official visit to China
BINGO!!!.....my only caution with this headline....is he being asked to postpone the trip....or is this his actual decision at this time.
After the call reference .. demand the resignation of Medhat al-Mahmoud
So the head of the judicial system in Iraq is being asked to resign.....seems he has too many ties to those who are or were accused in the past of wrong-doings and corruption....so is he guilty by association......at least one from the National Alliance would lead you to think so.....
What will PM Abadi be saying on this matter....remember he is adamant that he will not defend anyone who is believed to be guilty of corruption or associated wrong-doing.....
It makes sense that Abadi would expect to see complete reforms and clean up of ALL government entities, including the justice system if it is indeed warranted.....I'm expecting that we will see more coming to print over this matter.
Cabinet refers many circles directors to retire
More director level and manager levels are being expected to retire....these happen to be individuals who have either direct or indirect ties to Maliki and Maliki followers who are being shown to have been corrupt in their previous roles within government....we are going to see just how big the broom is that PM Abadi wields at this time....I'm suspecting a very large and wide shop broom that has some very sticky hairs capable of reaching out and grabbing a huge number of people....the dirty bath water is being thrown out and the bad germs are going with it.
A sharp debate in the House of Representatives after receiving al-Maliki's name in the fall of Mosul Commission report
The truth hurts at times.....so the report is out and in the hands of Parliament and it is probably not much of a surprise to anyone that Maliki's name would appear in the report as having responsibility for the fall of Mosul into the hands of DAASH terrors last year in June.....those who cried foul ball were those who were Maliki supporters.....
Demonstrators call for his arrest.....could this be the reason he was trying to get the religious powers in Iran to bully PM Abadi and others into letting Maliki travel to Tehran....he knew what was coming and is now desperate to escape in any fashion possible.....make me wonder.....where in the world is Maliki today.....will we see an arrest by the end of the weekend or will he have given the slip to many that want his neck in a noose.

Senior judge impedes 2500 civil money laundering banks issue!
More accusations being thrown at the judicial leaders within the Iraqi court systems.....this time pointing to potential wrong-doing associated with money laundering events that could mount in numbers to 2,500...an incredible number.....was there an attempt to sweep these under a rug somewhere.....what a lump that would create....or is that Maliki hiding under the rug.....the accusations come from the head of the National Alliance coalition.....I'm guessing the Integrity Commission has either been brought into the picture on this issue to prove or disprove the allegations.....those folks are sure to be extra busy in the coming weeks as more accusations are bound to fly about.....time will tell where this is headed.
Nassif: most of the security chiefs families out of Iraq
I would not be overly surprised at this kind of claim that those involved in corruption and coverup of their own activities have moved their families outside of Iraq at some point in the past.....knowing or suspecting there would be travel restrictions being brought into play at some point....at least their families would be on safe ground....
but what they may not have considered was the seriousness with which Iraq would pursue the money that was involved in corrupt operations....there is a special level of tenacity that is being used by the Integrity Commission and others who are on the hunt for any and all money that left Iraq illegally and they are continually seeking cooperation from entities outside of Iraq in the safe return of those funds to the country.
There you have a short list of news for this Friday.....I am suspecting that we will see more news today and into the weekend that could rock a few boats....
