MVL:  I'm going to be a contrarian here, and say that whoever rates Iraqi bonds as "weak", is going to be on the wrong side of the trade when the rubber hits the road. Iraqi bonds, Iranian bonds, SA bonds, you name it, and that includes bonds originating in the Pacific Rim, me want them!

Princess DD: i never understand why people would want to buy their bonds when they can buy their currency for more bang for their buck.

MY LADIES:  ALRIGHT THE BONDS ARE GOING TO BE 15 YEARS RIGHT??

MY LADIES: AND THE RATE WILL PROBABLY SOMEWHERE AROUND 3-5 % COMPOUNDING OVER 15 YEARS. RIGHT??

THEY ARE GOING TO BE SOLD IN 2500, 5000, 50,000 AND 100,000 DENOMINATIONS RIGHT?

SO YOU'RE TYPICAL BOND BUYERS WILL HOLD THESE BONDS WHICH ARE BELIEVE IT OR NOT MORE VALUABLE THAN CURRENCY AND ADD THEM TO THEIR PORTFOLIOS AND AT THE SAME TIME ADD THEM TO THEIR BALANCE SHEET ALONG WITH OTHER BONDS THEY MAY HAVE.

MY LADIES: THEY WILL HAVE VALUE IMMEDIATELY WHEREAS THE CURRENCY DOES NOT.

MY LADIES: ALSO BOND INVESTORS HAVE A VERY PARTICULAR APPETITE AND DO NOT LOOK AT CURRENCY AS AN INVESTMENT.

BONDS CAN BE SWAPPED AND TRADED AND TRADED AGAIN AND AGAIN ON THE "PAPER" MARKET.

MY LADIES:  WE AS DINAR HOLDERS WILL BE MADE WEALTHY. BUT BOND INVESTORS AND PEOPLE OF GREAT WEALTH ALREADY LOOK AT IRAQI BONDS AS ANOTHER PAGE IN THE PORTFOLIO

PrincessDD:  yes those are more long term investments right?

MY LADIES:  YES 15 YEARS USUALLY

AND YOU KNOW PRINCESS YOU CAN NOT HOLD HARD FOREIGN CURRENCY ON YOUR BALANCE SHEET EITHER.

REMEMBER HARD CURRENCY NEEDS TO BE DEPOSITED AS WHAT??? USD ...RIGHT?

NOW I'M SURE CURRENCY TRADERS WILL BUY DIGITAL PAIRS OF THE DINAR WHEN IT START TRADING..

BUT FOR NOW WITH NOT MUCH VALUE AND NO WAY TO CONVERT THIS DOES NOT MAKE THE DINAR APPEALING TO BOND INVESTORS...THE BONDS WILL YIELD THEM MUCH MORE MONEY.
