The problems with in Iraq seem even more highlighted by the contrast of Iran, financially speaking. Consider that:

Iran comes out and boast it will have an international currency three months after being released from sanctions.

Iran doesn't have the debt problems Iraq has had to face.

Iran has political stability whether we like their idiology or not.

Iran has resources, and has come out with articles about their natural gas, gold, and oil.

Iran has $100 billion heading back into their control.

Iran has contracts being signed.

"if Iran was a company, I would buy it," Donald Trump.
....
We really do need to study Iran. I posed the question yesterday wondering if Obama would sign an Executive Order allowing us to buy Iran's currency.

I also stated yesterday that IMO, Abadi missed an opportunity to include in his statement about just how serious he was about reforms by including a statement about the CBI when he was talking to the IMF, WB, and international bankers.

I also post about the need for Abadi to insist on a date and rate for the RI (not to be confused with demanding a date or rate from Frank, nor for Iraq to make that public.)

The acceptance of DrS still not having a date, to me, is completely unacceptable, and if Iran does in fact become a viable investment in their currency by the international investors, there will be a shift of investment money to Iran, because they are better managed, have assets, little debt, and contracts.

What do you think Iran's Credit Rating will be? Higher than a B-?

Great that Abadi is thinking like a citizen, I hope he starts thinking like an international investor as well, and also like an American taxpayer and military family, because we've been supporting Iraq for years.

Alan:
Very interesting. Hmm. I guess only time will tell.

Let's look at vietnam.. they devalued after WW2 and they still haven't revalued and they have plenty of resources.

Hope we’re not fooling ourselves.

Lexi:  Good points.

I pray the time Frank mentioned that if they don't raise it they go on a black list. I pray that time doesn't just turn into something else that has to get in that line because they can keep putting everything in that long line forever till someone finally says ok guys enough is enough and you’re going to do this because to many countries have sacrificed far too much and far too long.

So you will do it no more excuses you do it now. Sadly I feel that's what will have to take place because I really dont have any confidence anymore that they can or will do it themselves. Just seems the way they are geared. All in my opinion
