Out in the communities the local shops take both the USD and IQD...they prefer the USD. Currently, the 25K is equal to $22.35, but the shop owners do not make change so they see the 25K note as $25.00.
So that article was telling the citizens that they should expect to have additional purchasing power equal to $75.00 where it used to be only $25.00...additionally, they are being reminded that the large notes will gradually go away...but they will have 3 times the purchasing power.
The CBI has over and over emphaized that the three zeros notes will continue to be legal tender...but as to the prices in the economy are reduced the need for the large notes go away and are replaced with LDs.
The discussion about what type of notes are used on the streets is totally different from a discussion about the yet to be announced international exchange rate.
There will be one international exchange rate for the IQD which is only applicable outside the country.
That will in turn determine the type and size of the note to be used in country.
Folks, what you can take away from this discussion and that article is that the citizens are being told to expect changes in the currency they will use on the streets and why?
Because, the IQD will be put on the world currency market and the new value of the IQD will affect the type of note they will use inside Iraq. Plain and simple. [If the IQD does float, will there be value added & then it floats or will it float from 1166? If it floats from 1166 will there be demand for the IQD at that level?]

There’s lots of soldiers that are in Iraq to protect the new government. It’s going to become a democratic country – Insurgents don’t like that hipocrasy as long as they work with the new government.
Our boots on the ground is to protect a new justice that’s about to come to bear. JUSTICE….and the reinstatement of many reforms.
Tomorrow [Tuesday], YOU ARE GOING TO SEE UGLINESS...change is coming and it will be BRUTAL UGLY…BUT IT STARTED...

Maliki 'on the run' in Tehran in search of immunity or asylum

Baghdad played down the former Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said in a statement from the capital Tehran, the report would accuse him openly as primarily responsible for the fall of the city of Mosul in the hands of the organization of the Islamic state in the summer of 2014, at a time when well-informed sources in Baghdad said that his willingness to rebel against the Iraqi judiciary It confirms the correctness of the leaks that finally figured out his intention to seek refuge in Iran to avoid what he calls the desire of some of his opponents in "revenge".
He said in the first official declaration of his refusal to undergo judicial accountability that "no value" to the report of the commission of inquiry in the fall of the city of Mosul, however, the terrorist organization in response to the referral of Parliament Committee's report carried by others and responsibility, to justice.
Maliki said in comments carried by the official pages on social networking sites Tuesday's remarks "do not value the result that emerged from the parliamentary commission of inquiry about the fall of Mosul," adding that the committee "dominated by political differences and out of objectivity."
She said Iraqi political sources familiar Commenting on his visit to Tehran that the former prime minister arrived a few days ago with some members of his family to Tehran for fear of prosecution, and before the issuance of any decision prohibited from traveling outside Iraq.
The investigation into the causes of the fall of Mosul, a former recent popular protests that came out to demand accountability of corrupt officials, but the protests have contributed significantly to accelerate the release of the report and turn it to the judiciary.
The sources added that "the declaration of the Dawa Party, which is led by al-Maliki on his participation in an international conference to be held in the household Tehran is to camouflage his escape from Iraq for fear of prosecution on charges related to suspicions of corruption linked to him during his government over eight years."
And Astdlt sources that al-Maliki travel to Tehran is tantamount to escape the names of some close associates who accompanied al-Maliki on the trip and who did not know about them, especially Srah any cultural or intellectual activity qualifies them to participate in the Ahl al-Bayt conference in Iran.
