Indian refiners owe Iran $6.5 in total for the oil bought from the Middle Eastern country which plans to repatriate its money frozen in foreign accounts after last month’s conclusion of nuclear talks.

India’s Finance Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi has ordered refiners to prepare two installments of $700 million for payment to Iran, unnamed government officials were quoted as saying on Thursday.

Mehrishi visited Tehran last month along with representatives of the Reserve Bank of India to discuss repayment of the debt.

The dues have accumulated in bank accounts amid US-led sanctions which ban financial transactions with Iran.

MY LADIES:  Mercedes pays compensation to Iran Khodro' http://ift.tt/1TvDZY0

German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has paid Iran Khodro 42 million euros in compensation for leaving Iran in the heyday of Western sanctions on the Islamic Republic, Tehran-based media reports say.

The reparation comes as Mercedes, owned by Daimler, seeks to return to Iran in anticipation of sanctions being lifted after last month’s conclusion of nuclear talks between Tehran and the West.

Mercedes-Benz, as one of Iran Khodro’s oldest trade partners, suspended all activities in Iran in fear of US reprisals for doing business with the Islamic Republic.

The decision led to losses in Iran Khodro’s production of commercial and semi-heavy vehicles, the daily Khorasan said in a report also published by several other newspapers.

“Now that Mercedes-Benz intends to resume activities in Iran, Iran Khodro executives have demanded 42 million euros from the company in compensation,” it added.

MY LADIES:   REALLY ????  NOVA THIS LOOKS MORE AND MORE TO ME LIKE THE PERFECT EXCUSE FOR THESE COUNTRIES TO MOVE FROM THE DOLLAR.

EITHER THIS ARTICLE IS TOTAL FICTION OR WE ARE ON ANOTHER FIELD TRIP.

THESE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AND CORPORATIONS ARE TALKING ABOUT NOW!!

NOT SOME TIME DOWN THE ROAD.

WE ARE BEING BRACED AND LEAD INTO A DIRECTION THAT HAS BEEN UNCHARTERED UP UNTIL NOW.

HERE’S WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT …THESE ALLIES ARE GOING TO SAY HEY U.S. KICK ROCKS!!

How the U.S. Will Ease Europe's Iran Sanctions Jitters   http://ift.tt/1TuVbNq

In the final days of the Iran negotiations in Vienna, America's European partners asked Secretary of State John Kerry for a favor. They wanted a letter from Kerry promising that the U.S. Treasury Department would consult European companies on what kinds of investment in Iran would be permissible after U.N. sanctions were lifted.

U.S. and European diplomats involved in the negotiations tell me that the issue had been discussed on and off in negotiations throughout the talks that began at the end of 2013, but that the request for an explicit letter didn't come up until it appeared Iran was willing to agree to the nuclear bargain.

MY LADIES: SOMEONE IN THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT CAME TO SCHOOL TODAY!

THE DOLLAR IN ISOLATION WAS THOUGHT SOME TIME AGO CRAZY. BUT ONCE AGAIN WE ARE BEING LEAD TO NEW REALITY I THINK.

MAYBE JUST MAYBE THE DOMINOS ARE MORE DOMESTIC THAN WE THINK!

U.S. Officials Invoke Threat to Dollar in Pitching Iran Deal   http://ift.tt/1WnhhQK

“While Treasury always looks at the economic impact of policy decisions, it is clear that the United States would isolate itself if we attempted to try to compel the world to abandon an agreement endorsed by over 90 countries around the world in the pursuit of a plan that is viewed globally as unrealistic,” a Treasury spokeswoman said in a statement Thursday. The U.S. would also “risk harm to our economy were we to attempt to sanction some of the world’s largest banks and economies in a bid to force them to our will.”

MY LADIES: Iran Deal: As Good as We Could Have Gotten Unless We Were Willing to Threaten Immediate War    http://ift.tt/1IObQBh

COULD WE HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER DEAL??? PLEASE GET A NEW MANTRA.

One of the big criticisms of President Obama's nuclear deal is that he could have done better. In this case, Donald Trump really does speak for the entire GOP when he says that Obama's team were all terrible negotiators who were too desperate for a deal and got suckered by shrewd Iranian horsetraders.

Rocket Rich:  The guy that wrote this article consulted with the former president of United Against Nuclear Iran and even THAT guy says the deal is good.  In fact, he stepped down from his post as president after he actually read the deal.

MY LADIES:   AND WHAT DID TRUMP SAY RIGHT AFTER THAT??

HE SAID IF IRAN WERE A STOCK I WOULD BUY IT!!

MY LADIES:   I FIND IT VERY, VERY, VERY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT POLICY MAKERS IN SWITZERLAND WERE ALL SITTING AROUND THE OTHER DAY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WAYS TO POKE THE AMERICAN CONGRESS WITH A STICK!

NO FRIENDS THERE IS SOMETHING HERE REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE U.S. HAS SAID IN RESPONSE.

 NEGLIGIBLE EFFECT?? THEN WHY BOTHER??

BUCKLE UP FOLKS, PACK YOUR LUNCH AND HOLD ON TO YOUR HINIE’S WE ARE ON A FIELD TRIP FOR SURE!

‘Negligible Effect’

“This relaxation would have a negligible effect -- it is more a symbolic move reflecting Switzerland than anything else,” said John Whittaker, a lawyer who specializes on commodities at Clyde & Co LLP in London. “International commodities trading houses follow the restrictions applied by their banks, which tend to operate in America and Europe.”

MY LADIES:  U.S. Warns Companies over Swiss Sanctions Move on Iran http://ift.tt/1IKSYFn

HERE AGAIN, U.S. WARNS SWISS COMPANIES THAT DOING BUSINESS WITH IRAN AHEAD OF U.S. RELEASE OF SANCTIONS WILL LEAVE THEM OPEN TO SECONDARY SANCTIONS FROM THE U.S.

http://ift.tt/1IKSYFn

The U.S. warned that Swiss companies are still subject to U.S. sanctions on Iran despite Switzerland’s move this week to remove its own sanctions.

A U.S. State Department spokesman told reporters Wednesday that Washington wasn’t informed ahead of time about Switzerland’s decision to lift suspended sanctions, and the U.S. will continue to enforce its sanctions until the International Atomic Energy Agency verifies that Iran took the required steps to curtail its nuclear program. Switzerland said it decided to lift the sanctions as a show of support for implementing the nuclear agreement.

The spokesman, Mark Toner, also said Swiss companies seeking to do business with Iran under the terms laid out by Switzerland’s government this week still would be exposed to U.S. secondary sanctions on Iran.

“Any of our sanctions pertaining to Iran would still apply,” said Mr. Toner.

So-called “secondary” sanctions give the U.S. the power to target foreign companies and financial institutions for doing business with U.S.-blacklisted Iranian entities and individuals. Most, but not all, of U.S. secondary sanctions on Iran will be lifted once the nuclear agreement is implemented, according to an Aug. 6 client alert from law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP.

Switzerland has long maintained diplomatic relations with Iran, and it’s represented the consular and diplomatic interests of the U.S. in Iran since 1980, according to the Swiss foreign affairs department. The European Union declined to comment on Switzerland’s sanctions move, but it has said it would await IAEA sign-off before lifting its own sanctions

Lisa:  Reading through the articles over the last several weeks, and seeing the major shifts that are happening in the world, the stories (fairy tales, rather) told by the US media, have no integrity and hold no weight for me.

I’m extremely saddened that they prey on our gullible citizens and entire belief systems are built on top of their propaganda! They create emotions that are just not necessary.

I’ve realized that my little trips into the rabbit hole, have led me to the truth.  I think the rest of the world is calling America’s bluff!  My admiration for other countries and how they are handling their affairs (in spite of the pressure America puts on them) has grown immensely.

Mary and Nova, I hope when you read these comments you think of them as being centered and balanced, and not swinging too far to the right or left.  I feel very steady and much of the fear I lived with, in the past, has been thrown out the window.

************

MY LADIES:  LISA THANK YOU YOUR COMMENTS ARE STEADY AS A ROCK.

I READ ALL THOSE ARTICLES BACK AND TO BACK AND THOUGHT WOW!! HOW STUPID ARE WE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE??? BUT THE TRUTH IS STUPID IS NOT A GOOD WORD. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE CONDITIONED AND ALMOST CONTENT WITH NEVER UNDERSTANDING REALITY.

I TALKED IN DEPTH ABOUT THESE ARTICLES WITH NOVA AND WHILE THESE ARTICLES IN NO WAY MEAN THE SKY IS FALLING THEY ARE LEADING US RIGHT TO WHERE WE WANT TO BE.

AND AVERAGE JOE CITIZEN DO NOT EVEN CARE HOW WE GET TO WHERE WE WANT TO BE. IT IS JUST SAD.

BUT WE ARE RIGHT ON TRACK AND THIS ROOM IS VERY INFORMED AND LISA YOUR COMMENTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.

PrincessDD:  This article is from March but it explains what the plans for the CIPS is for September/October of this year for their system.

Exclusive: China's international payments system ready, could launch by end-2015 - sources

Snippet: China's long-awaited international payment system to process cross-border yuan transactions is ready, and may be launched as early as September or October, three sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

The launch of the China International Payment System (CIPS) will remove one of the biggest hurdles to internationalizing the yuan and should greatly increase global usage of the Chinese currency by cutting transaction costs and processing times.

It will also put the yuan on a more even footing with other major global currencies like the U.S. dollar, as CIPS is expected to use the same messaging format as other international payment systems, making transactions smoother.

CIPS, which would be a worldwide payments superhighway for the yuan CHN= CNY=CFXS, will replace a patchwork of existing networks that make processing renminbi payments a more cumbersome process.

PrincessDD:  I wonder if the yuan will devalue a 4th day?

MY LADIES:  YES PRINCESS 1 MORE DAY ON THE YUAN, THEY FIX IT TO THE CLOSING DAY PRIOR PRICING, AND THEY SAID THEY WILL BE ABLE TO STOP FOR FRIDAY.

MY LADIES: AND GOOD JOB WITH THE CIPS ARTICLE THAT IS RIGHT ON TIME AND RIGHT ON OUR DOOR STEP!

Hummingbird:
Well dang Mary if it's on the doorstep--OPEN THE DOOR!!  lol

PrincessDD:  It is! Very interesting watching it all come together.

PrincessDD:  : So is their devaluing for a 4th day going to impact their market economy enough to raise it back up soon? Im just trying to get my head around the WHY of their efforts and what significance it will have for the rest of the worlds markets and economies.
