AND WILL RUN THE OTHER WAY..THEY MUST PRACTICE WHAT THEY PUT INTO LAW... THE REASON, IMHO, WB SET THE BLACKLIST DEADLINE SO TO SPEAK

newbieDA: we should hear from alot economist this week on the economy, maybe some 50k articles, hopefully some articles on secuirty

newbieDA: ‹@*SCZIN11› its just a bunch of legal terms if you saw, they did not have to help stop corruption basically

chattels: BAGHDAD, Iraq – The Islamic State group (ISIS) claimed responsibility for a pair of suicide bombings on Thursday that shook the Iraqi capital and killed at least 24 people.

The radical group posted a statement on various websites, claiming that two of its suicide bombers had targeted police and the pro-government Shiite militia, known as Hash al-Shaabi.

Hospital officials said at least 121 people, some with life threatening injuries, were being treated after the explosions in the Wasba and Bab al-Sharji districts of Baghdad. ISIS has in the past two years claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on both government forces and civilians, including a supermarket bombing last month in which 67 people were killed.

The new wave of bombings comes weeks after the government announced it will open the heavily fortified Green Zone district in Baghdad where most official institutions are based, for easier public access.

disciple7: Im hoping corruption is dealt with by end of year..

chattels: http://ift.tt/1Ny5Ort... http://ift.tt/1UZqF9T

newbieDA: seems Iraq had a bunch of national legal terms, but no international legal terms to help them, with corruption and to recover money

newbieDA: thats why I got from the AML law
newbieDA: but thats the way I explain it
newbieDA: ‹@chattels› this made me sick this morning, very concerned about this one

*SCZIN11: ‹@newbieDA› THE BUNCH OF LEGAL TERMS, IS EXACTLY WHAT THE AML IS SUPPOSED TO BE..

ONE IN FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY POSITION, MUST BE AWARE AND REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, AND A FEW OTHER BASIC ISSUES...IT IS BASICALLY THE SAME THROUGHOUT THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY...

AS A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL, I MUST CONTINUE TO UPDATE MY KNOWLEDGE OF AML LAWS HERE IN THE USA, AND SIGN OFF ON EVERY FINANCIAL TRANSACTION I AM INVOLVED IN..

.IT IS A BASIC HEADS UP...NO IGNORING WHERE THE MONEY IS COMING FROM, AND WHAT IT IS BEING USED FOR

newbieDA: now read that from a couple weeks ago, that is all about the HCL deadline they made

newbieDA: ‹@chattels› ya its a mess, but good articles of where it is at and where it may go and why

chattels: the Iraq economy showed resilience in wake of the Arab Spring and the related domestic upheaval of 2011 and 2012, it is now extremely challenged with two-fold issues of depressed oil prices and increased military spending due to the current insecurity.

When compared with the period prior to 2003, the country’s infrastructure has deteriorated instead of evolved. Iraq needs to start accepting international assistance for its national accounts and books to be examined.

The government has been slow to engage multi-lateral lending institutions capable of long-term loans to develop infrastructure, whether it be solely for the nascent petrochemicals industry or for the general public..

chattels: in the context of a continued insurgency, it is difficult to envision any such infrastructure spending in areas, which are not absolutely secure.

newbieDA: ‹@whitelions› wow nice

chattels: " ........... important questions remain surrounding the level of security, government support and what type of infrastructure investment it is able to afford, given the insurgency of Islamic State militants. "

newbieDA: very accurate article

whitelions: agreed you know we have been saying somethings got to give for years now but I think we are finally close enough to spit on it by yhr end of this year early next

chattels: " .............. it is possible to be successful in Iraq, but fiscal constraint and realistic expectations are required in addition to a long-term time horizon. "

Fit2beFit: "Meanwhile ordinary Iraqis who have been protesting on the country's streets every Friday, don't seem to have any answers either. And they say they haven't seen any impact on their own lives – although admittedly it may be a bit early for this.

“Al-Abadi's reforms were ineffective and their aim was to silence the demonstrators,” argues Shamkhi Jabr, one of the activists regularly demonstrating in Baghdad's Tahrir Square.

“So far we haven't felt any changes, not on the political level or in the services we want to see improve.” “The reforms are just a political game,” adds Qassim al-Rubaie, a construction worker from the suburbs of Sadr City in Baghdad. “We didn't see any change in our lives.

Electricity supply is still poor, water is still polluted, traffic jams are still there and we see that politicians are still enjoying their privileges. We just ask: So where are these reforms they are talking about?”

forestnr4: Mountain Goat did another post.......here is a paragraph taken from the post.......So I have to tell you these next 2 weeks are going to be really exciting for us. Iraq knows that the major holiday is just around the corner. They are nearly complete on all the necessary short term goals of the “hasty” reforms.

My opinion is if the coalition forces can gain a sense of stability and control in the Anbar and Mosul regions (physical security) we could very well see the continuation of the currency reforms begin again at the end of September (if not prior) thus move into the revaluation we have been waiting for.
