Aggiedad77: People want things to happen......people are hungry.....they claim they are now disatisfied with PM Abadi......who are these people.....has it occurred to anyone it just might be a crowd of Maliki followers.....out today because they know and see the success that other Friday demonstrations have had over the past month or so.....
Hey if it is good for them, let us use it to our own underhanded advantage as well.....just think about that for a while.
Then consider this......the reforms that Abadi has proposed and is proposing take time to implement.....it took Maliki 8 plus years to drag Iraq into the cesspool where they live today.......can you honestly expect to see significant change in a couple of months.....the issues with electricity and water and living conditions are serious business.

PM Abadi has his hands full battling ISIS in many areas and attempting to deal with corruption in a HUGE way in other areas.....throw Maliki and his thugs into this mix along with the Iranians......he is working....but carefully.....he doesn't want to make stupid moves....he makes calculated moves.....he isn't the type to want to do things over and over again, so he works in a wise manner.
We are there now to help, to show him and his government how to get things done in a faster and more efficient fashion.....but at the same time we stand in the shadows to allow the Iraqis all the credit.
Be careful of where you cast your lot with regard to the news.....I've said that over and over again.....not all is what they want you to think or believe....IMO.
Earlier this week you saw they passed the Anti-Money Laundering Law.....no whoopla though.....then a few articles later.....an announcement that the Investment Law was postponed until after the upcoming holiday....and many jump on that talking about kicking a can down the road, delays and what have you.....
Apparently the good that happens can be overlooked, why.....I don't know.....but instead let's waste our efforts on bad talking what is perceived as derogatory actions.....so be it....you are entitled to your perceptions and opinions.....I'll just hang on to mine.

I think Maliki, to be effectively neutered, must be taken out of the picture as much as possible.....in a perfect world he would be arrested, tried, and convicted if he is found guilty of the crimes accused against him.....his sentence...well that is to be determined.....
Keeping him close and on a short leash IMO is very dangerous for PM Abadi or anyone.....Maliki wants power and thrives from it.....he is proving he will do just about anything to regain power.....so I think he must be removed.
Now the rest of the story.....you've found some good articles this morning....articles that show a different sort of light on things if they are to be believed.....again it is my opinion....these may have been written by the forces who back people like Maliki and the Iranians working in Iraq today......
This is to say that what they write may not be the full and complete truth of how things are today and what the actual Iraqi citizen may be thinking at this moment.....news stories are designed to sell a product.....just how factual their content is left for the reader to decide.....thank the internet and the www of today for that problem.
Your questions and points are good today, keep them coming.
Have a great day Family. Aloha Randy

JDTolle: » September 18th, 2015, Turn it into a good thing
If you’re disappointed with yourself, with someone else, with a particular situation or just with life in general, you’re at a powerful starting point. You can channel that energy of disappointment in a positive direction and do great things with it.
Feel the disappointment, and then let it pick you up, push you forward and get you going. Suddenly you’re fifty miles down the road, well on your way to meaningful achievement.
Don’t concern yourself with what went wrong, or with whatever things you dislike. Focus your attention on a great, shining vision of how you want life to be.
Give the power of your attention to your positive goals, to your dreams and highest aspirations. Give your time and energy to making all those great things happen.
Doing something positive with your disappointment takes a lot more effort than just sulking and brooding. And yet, very quickly, it feels a whole lot better to be doing something than to just stay mired in negativity.
When life disappoints you, the best choice you have is to turn it into a good thing. In fact, decide to make it into the best thing that ever happened, and leave your disappointment far behind.
