VIENNA -- Iran is prepared to allow weapons inspectors some managed access to its military sites, a senior official from Tehran said Thursday, but will not allow "anytime, anywhere" inspections of its military installations.
Iran is willing to sign onto international standards -- the so-called Additional Protocol -- that would allow IAEA inspectors "managed access" to suspect sites, but still allow Iran to protect its "military secrets."
"By accepting the Additional Protocol we do not mean that all the doors of our military complexes will be opened for the inspectors to see whatever they want, whoever they want, get whatever information they want," the senior Iranian official told reporters Thursday .
That workaround may allow enough political cover to convince hardliners within the Iranian military to allow diplomats to strike an accord here in Vienna.
Senior Obama Administration officials have indicated that they recognize any demand to inspect any and all Iranian military installations would be unrealistic .
MY LADIES: OH NOW THEY REALIZE THEIR REQUEST WAS UNREALISTIC??? REALLY??
The entry point isn't 'we must be able to get into every military site,' because the United States of America wouldn't allow anybody to get into every military site," a senior Obama Administration official told reporters.
"We have worked out a process that will insure that the IAEA has the access it needs."
MY LADIES: IRAN IS JUST PLAYING THIS WHOLE THING LIKE " FA LA LA LA LA" LOL..LOL..
American negotiators are under a time crunch, but Iran is willing to keep bargaining. The senior Iranian official said his team was "not pressed by time" and "it is not the end of the world" if they miss the July 9 deadline set by the U.S.
"We do not see a new deadline," the senior Iranian official said. "From our side, I think that July 7th, 8th, 9th does not have much of a difference."
The Iranian official also said negotiators were still working on how to sequence the lifting of financial sanctions. The idea, he said, was to time the suspension of sanctions to the same date that Iran finishes its compliance with each particular requirement.

MY LADIES: Iran nuclear talks in endgame, negotiators push on sticking points http://ift.tt/1KAtDQb
A year and half of nuclear talks between Iran and major powers were creeping towards the finish line on Friday as negotiators wrestled with sticking points including questions about Tehran's past atomic research.
Iran is in talks with the United States and five other powers - Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia - on an agreement to curtail its nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions.
"We are coming to the end," said a senior Western diplomat, who added there was no plan to carry on for long past next Tuesday. "Either we get an agreement or we don't," he said, adding that the process "remains quite difficult".
MY LADIES: BIG BIG TALK RIGHT THERE....OH PALLEEASE!!
Still, all sides say a deal is within reach. U.S., European and Iranian officials, including U.S. Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and Iranian deputy foreign ministers Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takhteravanchi, held a six-hour negotiating session that ended at 3 a.m. on Friday, a senior U.S. official said.
MY LADIES: SO THEY JUST BROKE UP AT 3AM THIS MORNING...SO IT SHOULD BE QUIET ON THAT FRONT UNTIL TOMORROW.

China says to maintain financial cooperation with Greece
BEIJING (Reuters) - China will continue to promote two-way cooperation with Greece, including in the financial sphere, and has already responded to Greek requests amid its debt crisis, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday. China sees Greece as a portal into both Europe and Africa for the distribution of Chinese products. The European Union is China's largest trading partner and China is the EU's second-largest trading partner. China has repeatedly said it wants to see a united European Union and a strong euro.

IMF warns Greece needs debt extension, may require write down
The IMF warning in a preliminary draft of its latest debt sustainability report came as Greece readies for a Sunday referendum on an international bailout deal that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has urged voters to reject. The Washington-based institution, which is part of a "troika" that includes the European Commission and European Central Bank that is overseeing the bailout, said that even if Greek policies came back on track, loans made by Europe "will need to be extended significantly" and that the country would need further concessional financing.
The report was made based on assessments last week, before Greek banks have been closed and the country had defaulted on an IMF repayment.
"We cannot go to our board to complete this review unless we have a comprehensive program," said a senior IMF official in a conference call, adding that debt relief from creditors would be essential.
The IMF said Greece would need an additional 36 billion euros ($39.89 billion) in European funding from total additional financing needs of 50 billion euros due to policy slippages and the latest proposals from Athens.

Russia waits in wings as Greek debt crisis deepens
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin must be finding it hard to contain a wry smile as the European Union struggles with Greece's debt problems. Events are playing into his hands by diverting attention from the conflict in Ukraine and offering him a chance to exploit differences in the EU which might undermine unity on sanctions against Russia over Ukraine. But Russia is now one of the few countries Athens might realistically turn to for money and state-run media are having a field day, depicting the EU as a discredited and dysfunctional empire in terminal decline. Russia's fragile economy would certainly not escape unscathed if Greece left the euro zone or the EU, and the crisis could serve as a worrying lesson for Moscow as it builds its own political and economic bloc with other former Soviet republics.

Patti: Another central bank that is making bold moves within a global landscape…
Sweden Moves to Quash Krona Haven Trade
Sweden’s central bank just reminded traders they should be careful in seeking out the krona as a haven from the rising turmoil in Greece. The bank shocked the markets Thursday, sending the krona down as much as 1.2 percent versus the euro, by unexpectedly deepening negative interest rates and boosting its quantitative easing program by almost 50 percent. The move “clearly shows they will go the length, doing almost everything -- reasonable or not reasonable -- to prevent the krona from appreciating,” said Carl Hammer, chief currency strategist at SEB AB.

World stocks drift lower ahead of Greek vote; China plunges
HONG KONG (AP) — World stock markets mostly drifted lower Friday ahead of Greece's weekend austerity referendum, while China's main stock benchmark plunged as much as 7 percent as government market stabilization measures failed to reassure panicky investors. KEEPING SCORE: European stocks were mixed in early trading, with France's CAC 40 slipping 0.1 percent to 4,828.72 while Germany's DAX was flat at 11,096.84. Britain's FTSE 100 edged 0.1 percent lower to 6,622.15. U.S. markets were closed for the Independence Day holiday weekend.

Patti: Yikes. But I suppose it's all part of the shift to a new global system. The media does a good job of creating fear around the change, but I feel that it's just time for something new. The old systems were so corrupt, inflated and manipulated. Personally, I welcome this change and believe we'll all be glad things didn't happen years ago as we had hoped. All that we are seeing HAD to happen, and will create a whole new system that is based on reality and true values.
JP: Yes, the new system will “reset” reality based on values. But we are going to need to be wise with our next moves because … the new system will be used by some people (and governments) who will still want your money. Greed and corruption will not go away. Advance wisely! (I can’t wait!)

IMF nears $1.7 billion loan payout to Ukraine
Washington (AFP) - The International Monetary Fund said Thursday that its Ukraine mission had reached agreement with Kiev authorities on the steps needed to release $1.7 billion in much-needed bailout funds to the government. The mission has been reviewing the country's reform achievements since the IMF awarded Ukraine a new four-year, $17.5 billion support program in March and released the first tranche of funds. The second fund release will come once an agreed set of actions, which the IMF did not divulge, "are completed and the conditions are in place for staff to assess that public debt is sustainable with high probability and the program is fully financed," the IMF said in a statement.
