wmawhite Exactly...those are small indicators of what is coming. The tariffs are an example of what needs a change in the value...because they/CBI will never speak directly about the coming change.
I seriously look forward to each day because I believe that Iraq along with the entire region is at the point where Iraq will move forward at any time...

We were all excited during the CC when we got the news that "here we go" was applicable to both the Monetary Reform and security. But then there was some discussion about September 15, 45 days after a targeted Aug 1 Taxes and Tariffs. Is it "here we go again with a delay?"
No. Frank and Team are not seeing a delay. Nor did I believe there was a delay. Progress is continuing to be made on the Monetary Reform.
However, it is a concern that targeted, published dates may not be met. That concerns me because that's no way to do business. GOI/CBI/A/DrS/IMF really need to understand that security also includes confidence that people will get done what they have said they will get done when they said they would do it.
They have stated that Iraq would get a credit rating, sell bonds, and implemented taxes and tariffs in July and August. Does missing these dates mean delay?
No, they are still pushing for all of those things, but it just sends the message that they can't meet targeted deadlines.

If they want the international world to take them serious and they want to be big boys then I'm afraid they are going to have to break this cultural norm and start doing things on time and not on their time.
