rcookie says to Martha Sue():VERY MUCH CHAOS THIS MORNING...THE ONLY THING CERTAIN...IS THE UNCERTAINTY....THE DUST SEEMS TO BE SETTLING...SO THE NEWS TO COME IN WILL CLARIFY AN LOT OF THE QUESTIONS AND DIRECTION...

Martha Sue says to rcookie():IMHO ... it seems these protestors are saying ... WE WANT WHAT HAS BEEN PROMISED TO US ... WE ARE STRUGGLING ... AND WE NEED HELP ... AND THEY ARE SICK AND TIRED OF NOT GETTING THINGS FINISHED.

They have lived in the present (unlike us being so far away) with promises that seem to go unfulfilled ... and they are DANG ANGRY! Doesn't make it right ... but ... they are saying WE WANT ACTION NOW NOW NOW ... Is this a correct assumption???

rcookie says to Martha Sue():IN 2 WORDS...REFORM & ACCOUNTABILITY.....

BUCK says to rcookie():which is it////are the protesters that dirupted parliment from the maliki corrupt crew or are the sadr people......seems sadr protestors would have wanted the parliment session to meet...??????

Martha Sue says to rcookie():PROTESTORS ... demanding this??? is that what you mean in the 2 words??? I agree totally. and they want it NOW ... not when it seems like it is a good time.

BUCK says to Martha Sue():doing well "but i am so confused" lol who is protesting lol

Martha Sue says to BUCK():not sure where the people came from ... Sadr

BUCK says to Martha Sue():see i was thinking these protests were caused by corrupt maliki faction...why would sadr want to stop parliment progress....>>>???

rcookie says to BUCK():THE SADR PROTESTORS WANT THE TEHNOCRATIC REFORMS NOW...THE SITTER PROTESTERS ARE OBSTRUCTIONISTS ....AND ARE PULLING OUT ALL STOPS...

TRYING TO REMOVE JABOURI...CREATE & CONDUCT ILLIGITIMATE PARL SESSIONS... PREVENT QUORUM... AND ATTEMP LEGAL FEDERAL COURT CHALLENGES....

Martha Sue says to BUCK():Sadr's peeps followers were inside or outside the Greenzone ... so I would assume they are the ones. HOWEVER ... who knows if m has anything to do with this disruption. If he could ... you know he would ... but this is maybe outside of him. Wish they had gone and gotten him and strung him up ... and that possibly could have shown more action required to get this settled.

BUCK says to rcookie():yeper i got that part...but who are the active and more violent protesters disrupting parliment today????/do we know yet????/ thx

Martha Sue says to BUCK():read what rcookie just wrote about it

Josie says():I read that Sadr ordered the storming of the greem zone AFTER it was announced that Parliament decided not to vote on Cabinet replacements Sat. This is something that BGG mentioned last night that he was hearing that the votes could be put off a 'day or two'. To me, it is all Sadr

bookumdano says to BUCK():The Sadr Protestors may acctually allow Abadi to remove the current MP's and install a new Caretaker government with the UN's approval.

Martha Sue says to rcookie():so are the Sadr protestors who peacfully sat before ... not the same people charging now. they want reforms now. GOOD FOR EVERYONE ... but are the sitter protesters (obstructionists) different people who are jumping in and causing this blow up and making it look like it was Sadr's peeps who did it?????

rcookie says to Josie():THAT IS EXACTLY AS NEWS REPORTS CLAIM...AND THAT WOMEN WERE ORDERED OUT OF GREEN ZONE PROTESTER CROWD OVER LOUDSPEAKERS.....

rcookie says to Martha Sue():YES THEY ARE.....THEY WANT COMPLETE REFORM ACTION NOR PARTIAL OR PEACEMEAL...

BUCK says():so do we have an explanation as to why parliment decided to delay the voting????

rcookie says to Martha Sue():SADR IS GOING OUT OF HIS WAY TO PUBLICLY STATE NON VIOLENCE AND A RESPECT FOR PUBLIC PROPERTY...

Martha Sue says to rcookie():SO ... complete reform action ... would mean they finish with the new placements ... and get to work on finishing everything??? right??? so ... IMHO ... wouldn't Sadr's peeps who have been sitting just say ... CIRCLE THE WAGONS ... BAR THE DOORS ... AND NO ONE IS LEAVING TILL YOU ARE FINISHED???

rcookie says to Martha Sue():SOME OF THE STATEMENTS FROM MASUM WERE THAT THE SADR PROTESTOR CROWDS CAN NOT BE ALLOWED TO THREATEN OR INFLUENCE THE CONDUCTING OF REGULAR PARLIAMENT PROCEDURES INCLUDING THE CABINET RESHUFFLE....

Martha Sue says to rcookie():let's just pray that Sadr gets his wagons settled and people backed down ... and then the rest of the peeps who still make trouble can be detained by the law.

Josie says():Not sure why people are so suprised or wondering who is behind it. Sadr has been saying (thretening) for months that protestors will 'storm the Green Zone" if changes dont come. To me, that is why his followers have organized at the entrance to the Green Zone on several occassions to show they are serious but have always stood down per Sadr. Sadr just finally followed through with what he has been telling GOI for months. Seems they (Sadrists) went out of their way not to be violent. Just a HUGE message IMO

Martha Sue says to rcookie():WOWZERS ...
Josie says():(threatening)

rcookie says to Martha Sue():Masum calls for calm and a cabinet reshuffle intended
04/30/2016  (Independent) .. Ahab President Fuad Masum, the demonstrators who stormed the day the House of Representatives building and threatened to storm official buildings and other non-official in the Green Zone in Baghdad, to give priority to calm and law-abiding and self-restraint and not to prejudice any of the members of the House of Representatives and the staff of public and private property and to evacuate the building ,

He also called in a statement issued by the heads of the ministers, MPs and leaders of parliamentary blocs to hold office reshuffle desired and implementation of political and administrative reforms and the fight against corruption and consider that buried quotas partisan and factional task system no longer be postponed at all.

The infallible superfluous victory in the battle against terrorism requires setting the protection of the stability of Iraq and supreme interests and status and prestige in the international community over any other interests, calling on everyone to adhere to the principles of democratic dialogue and the preservation of constitutional life and maintain security and order.

And it demanded urgent political forces to redouble efforts and seriousness to solve problems to meet the demands of the people and achieve its interests and improve his living conditions, and to show high sense of national responsibility and put the interests of all Iraqis above any other interests.

He expressed hope that everyone takes into account all of that and strive together for a serious and persistent work on self-control and providing the right atmosphere for a peaceful, democratic and constitutional work is moving ahead to reform and preserve the unity of Iraq and its democratic system. (End)

BUCK says to Josie():appears to be the case....i guess the violence and relocation of parliment meslead me...i still think we want What sadr wants at this time...

rcookie says to Martha Sue():"NOT TO PREDJUDICE ANY OF THE HOR MEMBERS"...MAINTAIN SECURITY & ORDER...SELF RESTRAINT RESPECT PUBLIC & PRIVATE PROPERTY AND STAFF..
Martha Sue says to rcookie():yep ... saw that!

Josie says to BUCK():Well there may be some near term alignment on what we seek and what he is looking for, but safe to Sadr is not to be embraced and is in no way a friend to the USA

Martha Sue says to rcookie():I'm all for someone standing their ground for what they believe is just and due ... and they are doing that. Just caught off guard by the storming of the building.

BUCK says to Josie():i am very aware of that, which is why i said....at this time ... lol

Josie says():As BGG has been saying for months (years) the status quo is our enemy, and we now have anything but status quo for awhile now...

Josie says to BUCK():Ha. I am sure you knew, just overstating the obvious

BUCK says():well i hate that the progress could not be made as scheduled three weeks ago... but i am happy that "things are happening" it will get us to where we want to go...
BUCK says to Josie():no prob..it is worth remembering....

cjquade54 says():I believe there will be more violence if they don't complete this quick.
cjquade54 says():I hope they get it done before things really get out of hand
cjquade54 says():just stating the obvious

Elane says():Tweet: @HaiderAlAbadi: PM Al-Abadi confirms security situation in Baghdad is under control and calls on demonstrators to return to designated protest areas

BUCK says():if i remember correctly, it seemed maliki and crew were against the raising value of the dinar.....i wonder what effect it would have on all this protest and delay if they raised the value now....would that give the corrupt less to fight for or make them more angry???? i know their mostly fighting for their "lives" so it may not matter......just thinking outloud .

localcats says():well todays news is not boring thats for sure

BUCK says to localcats():for sure. i am just curious as to why abadi felt like he needed to delay today's parliment...never read as to why .....????
localcats says():sadar is pushing a major point

BUCK says():i hope he keeps pushing hard until i get paid lol lol
