Sunday Afternoon Dinarland Chatter 5-1-16

RE: Islandg1211 thoughts:

SupremeDalek:  That's a very good assessment Islandg1211.  I only hope that Mr. Abadi is listening.  He only seems on being motivated to prosecute the citizens right now as opposed to the corrupt MP's and that could get him into hot water with al-Sadr who won't appreciate his disciples being locked up for obeying his orders - "In My Opinion"

Forgive my impertinence, but I dislike Mr. Abadi more than I do Mr. Maliki and that's because Maliki is what he is but no one ever questioned his ability to lead.

Mr. Abadi is like a deer in the headlights. Every move he makes leaves himself open to scrutiny. He is not a leader but the USA made him into one because we knew that we could control him because of his weakness.
....
SupremeDalek:   He's not respected by his own political party as shown by the antics that took place in parliament. Nobody was arrested. Nobody was punished but yet Mr. Abadi now wants to punish and prosecute the citizens who answered their country call  that was sounded off by Muqtada al-Sadr.  This, of course, is all "In My Opinion".

When you hear people lamenting and praying for Saddam Hussein to return, then you know that something is seriously wrong with the political landscape.  "In My Opinion"

Islandg1211:  You make some good points, and I agree that Abadi seems to lack leadership qualities. I felt that way about Shabibi as well and posted a few years ago the potential problem of having, in essence, a "Technocrat" in the decision making position, verses having a true leader that hires the experts.

I remember posting that the kind of person who is a CEO is different from the kind of person that is a CFO. Both have their respected places. But, it concerned me then with Shabibi, and even more now with Abadi, that although both appear honest, educated, smart, well intentioned, and pro-Iraq and favorable to the U.S., they are not leaders.

They both are cautious. Worse than that is that they don't acknowledge the damage that has been done in the name of caution.

It concerns me that they don't self-reflect, or have reviews of their performance, but remain with the view that caution is always best. You want the "right conditions", of course, but you may not get them. In fact, the conditions could get worse.

Oh, that's right, Shabibi, they did. You got a warrant out for your arrest and Maliki allowed ISIS to take over. Abadi, you want the GOI to pass your reforms and then have Maliki arrested? You haven't gotten that yet.

My father was a CEO and Chairmen of the Board of his NYSE corporation and had a record of 28 years of consecutive increase in growth of earnings, sales and dividends.  He hired and trained and mentored his successor CEO who twice won CEO of the year.

He used to talk about the qualities needed for leader. In his opinion, it was someone who did not need to know everything to make a decision, could make a quick decision, but could adapt to conditions. It's a risk taker that adapts. It's someone who listens to the professionals that are experts in their various fields but makes their own decision given what is known verses waiting for all the unknowns.

Research of genius IQs and Ivory League alumni indicate that those that are the most intelligent often times are not the most successful. This could be because they are afraid of failure, not risk takers, and feel uncomfortable when they don't know everything nor can control everything.

Those that are the most successful tend to be smart enough but have a more risk taker mentality.

Abadi and Shabibi, IMO have issues with being too cautious, that Maliki - the survivor and successful (corrupt) leader -has taken advantage of. IMO

Abadi has to act now. The ball is in his court. Conditions are not going to get better.

IMF and US are there, and he has the State of Emergency authority to act. Waiting for the GOI to unite and vote themselves out of power and money and into jail hasn't yet worked.

Doing the same thing and expecting a different result doesn't work, and is the result a non-leader leading.

Blinkster:  IMO we will be shocked and very pleased to find out (that which they allow us to know) just what has transpired outside of our view in the last 36-48 hours.

Remember the statement made: "IMO many arrest warrants were issued, many arrests made, and many more warrants and arrests to come" (my paraphrase)...well, to me it sounds like business IS getting done.

And we can't forget that there is an unseen timetable by THE 12, and now they have brought us in to insure this is DONE. And, IMO, DONE it shall be...all in my peanut gallery opinion, of course…

We have had how many references to fireworks in the last few days...that to me speaks volumes.

************

Islandg1211:  We also don't know what else Abadi and the other presidents did today at their meeting beyond just dealing with yesterday's protestors. They could have been voting in the Ministers and laws under Article 61.

Abadi may have agreed with the U.S. plan for post liberated Mosul.

Maliki's arrest could be imminent.    Lets hope so.

Aggiedad77:  Well made points IG and all of what you say and more may have occurred as they met......remember Frank saying "all hell will break loose".....well the confusion was....IMO.....nothing but a ruse.....Abadi let them into the GZ......

Perhaps this is his reasoning for the implementation of Article 61.....for then I believe he would be in control and there probably wouldn't need to be a vote....he knows he's got the backing of Masum, the Holy Men, and the US......he just needed to get to a point....IMO....where he felt comfortable pushing this forward.....or his handlers....US.....put the leverage in the right place to make it happen.....

I see nothing but good coming from this....maybe not today....or tomorrow but in the coming days......all IMO.....I think it's time to BE HAPPY.....where's our dancing snoopy dog icon when you need him.   Aloha    Randy

Dinar Chronicles:

Dear Readers,

I am receiving intel reports of immensely great news. Although, I am unauthorized to post these reports due to the sensitivity of the current situation.

But based on these reports, the most ideal time to expect this thing to pop is between the opening/closing of the markets in Beijing.

So just wanted to give you folks a heads up.

In the mean time, I can only advise you all to stay grounded and enjoy your Sunday.
