Wednesday News Summaries and Commentaries

Well hello Family, let's see if I still have the stuff to get this done. I don't need a dry spell like that again...it is great to be back.

The central bank in response to the rumors: continuing to meet the banking and corporate applications

The CBI announced today that it has been and will continue to meet requests for the dollar.....it works with diligence to maintain a stability for the currency.....falling away from the high of 1400 that was seen earlier.....give the CBI the room to move and work its magic and things will turn around....this is Dr. S's MR in full throttle ahead....take that to the bank....to the CBI.
....

Expects the financial collapse of most banks Iraq

An alarming headline for an article coming from the Ministry of Finance....but dig into what they are saying......don't cut spending in the second half of the year.....but at the same time will they be able to fund "any" projects for 2016.....not the way they are headed....

Therefore....the obvious is being stated here without saying it.....things have to change....and to keep funding the various departments for the second half of 2015 what is it that has to change....they need to find liquidity....they need to see a change in the way they are doing business.....they need a rate better than toilet paper......the MR lava flow is rumbling.....don't stand in the way or you get burned.....it is coming.

Tamimi: $ 18 billion out by the central bank auction of money laundering

Maliki's thugs keep talking and spewing forth wild rumors......where is the proof of these claims we should ask....maybe we need a new insurance company as the TV ads tell us......this hot air is tiring to us all to try and continue to decipher....enough already let's see something constructive come forth from the Finance Committee....like a reshuffling of the members kicking out the M followers and putting in some bean counters who can truly get some worthwhile projects accomplished for this group.

Finance Committee: Iraq's imports during the first half of this year amounted to 25 trillion dinars

I honestly don't believe these folks within the Finance Committee could create a positive report or article even if someone was holding a gun to their head.....I'm sorry.....but their negativity brings out the positive part of my attitude.....someone has to look to the bright side of things....

Yes their economy isn't looking the greatest, yes the oil prices haven't rebounded as they hoped...but their projection rates and export rates for oil are up.....they are looking for more and more buyers for their oil.....they continue to push for the Monetary Reform and work at a level that keeps their economic recovery afloat....tho just barely it seems at times.....

The big thing to realize is that the powers to be in Iraq haven't given up....they haven't walked away from the game plan and they continue to push forward despite the negativity that is pushed by a small group....a group that grows smaller with each passing day and week.

Three presidencies opens its doors to receive the requests of citizens

Open door policies....oh I am sure that was a big pickle for Maliki to swallow.....whereas the real leaders of Iraq today, Masum, Abadi, and Jubouri all welcome such action....they want the people to believe in them and their plans and programs....letting the people see them as being accessible is one way to do this. This process will be interesting to follow in the coming days to see how reactions occur with regard to their actions.

Parliamentary Economic Committee: prepare the final draft of the investment law

Final draft of the Investment Law.....can you say dissolving of red tape and elimination of corruption that has been known in the past.....this is great news....get this on Parliament's agenda and push it forward....more lava flow.

Muslim World League: Maliki's comments feed terrorism

I come back and see that Maliki is still very capably stirring the pot that he will soon be standing in......good for him.....get the rest of the free world mad at him while he's at it too.

Maliki refuses to answer a question Abadi: Where did you get this?

Maliki continues to try and exercise authority that he really and truly no longer has......so be it....let the courts stand with PM Abadi and show him how the horse ate the cabbage.....he won't like the end results....though he will be the headline event I am sure....just not in a way that he anticipated.

Parliamentary Integrity supports the principle of "Where did you get this:" Abadi serious fight corruption

"Where did you get this".....sounds a lot like Clint Eastwood's......"Make My Day" statement.....we want the facts just the facts.....no more stonewalling from Maliki and thugs....PM Abadi has the Integrity Commission on his side as I am sure the Judicial group will be as well.....Maliki is getting outnumbered and surrounded.

Basra applied customs tariff in the border outlets

So the southern ports are working on tariffs....but how does one apply a tariff with a currency rate of 1166....makes not much sense.....so what are they truly doing and how are they operating with any effectiveness in this scenario....hope we see more on this subject.

Zubaidi looking to build an oil port in the Gulf depth

Wow I don't know if you looked at that photo in this article.....if that was the Basra port then Iraq would be sitting in the driver's seat for years to come.....can they devise a plan to change their existing bottlenecked port system into something so open to the gulf this photo reflects...that would be an incredible piece of work for them.....more power to them if they can find the support and funds for such an effort.
The issuance of arrest warrants against the directors of the banks and civil charges: "corruption" and "smuggling" and "money laundering"

So the Integrity Commission is getting ready to nail a bunch of bank managers over money laundering and corruption.....I wish this article had been more forthcoming as to when these crimes occurred, are they recent or things that have been uncovered that went on over the past 9 years or so during Maliki's reign.....I'm still of the opinion that PM Abadi would not stand for such corruption within his government and he must be applauding the finding of the Commission in this regard.

Basra refuses to apply the tariff law

Yes they are applying the law.....no they aren't.....what is there to apply with the currency rate like it is.....who can blame Basra for not moving forward with this effort....

The Kurds are bowing their necks over it....so why not the guys from the south too....sounds like they at least tried....or thought of doing something....but they don't want to be the guinea pigs for this process....let someone else lead the way......take your focus off of kicking the can down the road and focus on the economic reform to make effective changes that will be meaningful in the end.

Short end of the news summaries for today.....just glad and tickled to be back again.
