Late Friday Night My Ladies, Memphis and Friends Chat

Thanks My Ladies for allowing us to share from your private chatroom:

Late Friday Night:

Princess DD: Did you read Nova's comment from this afternoon?  I thought it was very good   Link

Blessed153: Yes. Said they are ready and waiting for the new mechanism -waiting for their turn.

MVL:  My understanding of his post is that the ripples of what is currently underway haven't touched the Iraqi shoreline just yet, but are headed that way.

Joey:   "Standard & Poor's   S&P.com will be conducting routine maintenance Friday at 8pm through Sunday at 5pm, New York time. Site performance may not be optimal and there may be a period of time where there are no ratings updates. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."   HUMM strange
....
MY LADIES:  NOTHING STRANGE AT ALL, MOST SITES RELATED TO FINANCE AND BANKING UPDATE OIVER THE WEEKEND

Bandito Rox:
  http://ift.tt/1ITPIJg

MY LADIES:  THEY ARE DEMANDING ELECTRICITY...

Bandito Rox:
. They are demanding more then that

MY LADIES:  NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE BANKING FRONT

IN THE COUNTRY THEY ARE HOT AND WANT ELECTRICITY, THE ELECTRICITY MINISTRY SPENT 2.8 BILLION ON SOMETHING AND THE DEMONSTRATORS WANT TO KNOW WHAT.

NOTHING TO DO WITH CURRENCY OR US AT ALL

MY LADIES:  Chanting crowds thronged Baghdad’s central Tahrir Square and jammed the main streets around it, some calling on Abadi to fire corrupt ministers and others urging more sweeping changes to the entire system of governance installed after the U.S. invasion of 2003.

The protest was the biggest in a surge of demonstrations that have erupted across the country over the past week as Iraqis enduring an unusually intense heat wave vent frustration with their government, which has proved unable to provide basic services 12 years after the invasion left the country’s infrastructure smashed.

The numbers in and around Tahrir Square far exceeded a much smaller demonstration a week earlier that had been organized by an assortment of secular activist groups to protest the lack of electricity at a time when temperatures are routinely hitting 120 degrees or more.

MY LADIES
: SAME THING AS ALWAYS...SUNNI WANT THINGS BACK TO THE WAY THEY WERE IN SADAAM DAYS..THEY WERE TAKEN CARE OF AND HAD NO WORRIES

FOR THEM DEMOCRACY IS SOMETHING FOR THE WEST.

AS FOR GOVERNMENT???

HUH...LOOK THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS ARE GIVING WARNING AND KEEPING THINGS CALM, THESE PEOPLE DO NOT RECOGNIZE OR CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT THE BASICS AND THEY TAKE THEIR QUES FROM THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS.

THEY WANT WATER, ELECTRICITY, AND THE POLITICAL BULL CRAP TO GO AWAY.

TALK IS CHEAP AND THEY HAVE BEEN GETTING LIP SERVICE SINCE 2003. THEY ARE OVER IT NOW.

AS FOR CURRENCY REFORMS, THEY COULD CARE LESS, THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE PROTESTING AT ALL.

MY LADIES: “You have killed our joy and stolen our dreams. We don’t want you anymore,” said one banner held aloft above the crowd, which included families and older people who said their sons were fighting with the militias.

Though all the demonstrators complained about corruption and the lack of services, there were noticeable differences in their demands, reflecting rifts emerging among Iraqi Shiites as the fight against the Islamic State unfolds.

MY LADIES:  AND HERE IT IS...TAKE YOUR ELECTED PARLIAMENT AND SHOVE IT!! THEY ARE ALL CORRUPT!!

Supporters of Qais al-Khazali, who heads the powerful Iranian-backed Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia, echoed his demand for the abolition of Iraq’s elected parliament and its replacement with a presidential system of government.

“If you think you can carry out reforms, we are with you,” Khazali said in a televised statement late Friday night. “If you think you can’t, resign.”

MY LADIES: AND HERE WHO CAN DENY THEY ARE RIGHT AND OVER DUE FOR CHANGE??

The protesters also included a sizable number of supporters of former prime minister Nouri al-Maliki, who suppressed similar demonstrations against the corruption of his government four years ago by detaining and intimidating organizers. Maliki, who has not attempted to hide his hopes of returning to power, issued a statement calling on Abadi “to hit corrupt officials financially and politically.”

Many demonstrators said they had turned out only to demand what Lamia Fadhil, 29, called “a decent life.”

“For more than 10 years the government didn’t provide anything for us. No electricity, no services and no jobs,” she said. “That’s it. We’ve had enough.”

MY LADIES: IN THE BEGINNING ABADI WAS A MAN WITH A PLAN...BUT JUST MALAKI BEFORE HIM THE U.S. INFLUENCE IS A BIT MUCH, HIS HANDS ARE TIED TOO TRYING TO HOLD THE OCEAN BACK WITH A BROOM...

THEY NEED A TOTAL UPHEAVAL OF EVERYONE, CORRUPTION SPREADS LIKE SILENT CANCER AND IS HARD TO DETECT UNTIL IT'S JUST ABOUT READY TO KILL YOU.

MY LADIES:
AND THROWING MONEY AT CORRUPTION IS JUST NOT THE ANSWER!

BELIEVE IT OR NOT LIFE IN THE MIDDLE EAST IS A SIMPLE ONE. THE NEEDS ARE BASIC, THE RELIGION IS KING AND ALL THINGS FLOW SMOOTHLY,

THAT IS OF COURSE UNTIL THE U.S. SHOWS UP AND IS GOING TO SAVE THEM FROM THEMSELVES AND INTRODUCE A JUDICIAL SYSTEM THAT HAS SO MUCH OPPORTUNITY FOR CORRUPTION AND A DO NOTHING POLICY, VERY MUCH LIKE THINGS HERE…LOL…

WELL WE JUST WAIT AND SEE HOW THIS PLAYS OUT. BUT ONE THING S SURE THERE WILL BE NO UNITING THE COUNTRY UNLESS ABADI DOES SOME OF THINGS FOR THE CITIZEN HE PROMISED.

[12:29:09 AM] Memphis: ML (in reply to a Q):

"...IN THE COUNTRY THEY ARE HOT AND WANT ELECTRICITY, THE ELECTRICITY MINISTRY SPENT 2.8 BILLION ON SOMETHING AND THE DEMONSTRATORS WANT TO KNOW WHAT."

A press release last week spoke of a contract with an Iranian company to build a plant in Iraq to capture natural gas and produce enough electricity to increase Iraq's grid by a large margin on the order of 33%;  The $ awarded to this project was on the order of the amount mentioned today.  Not 100% on this but it may be the answer.

No matter to me either way just wanting to chime in!  (handshake)

Memphis:
sovereign bonds to be offered outside Iraq, the dinar industry in America effectively shut down in a week, Fitch Ratings feels it timely to offer an opinion on Iraq's currency.

Nothing to see here I am sure...

But just for grins let's talk about Fitch...

Does it seem kinda like a waste of energy for what many consider to be purely an exotic currency?

A novelty item in the same class as the Zimbabwe dollar?

We could speculate that the rating they gave is bad, bad news but is it?  Seriously, this is not my wheelhouse.  Is a B- with B (short term) a bad value to assign when just coming out the gate?

While I must leave that one unanswered I will offer what I believe to be a much better question that needs (is screaming for) an answer.

Why now?

It seems conclusive to this observer that the convergence continues as I hand it off to other bright minds.... (handshake)

note: and as an added bonus Kurdistan is to have their own web domain (.KRD)?  Is it,wrong to compare this to them hanging a sign in the front window:

"OPEN FOR BUSINESS" ?

Memphis: seriously not trying to add hype or anticipation here!  I am dead serious that recent events are causing me to once again ask questions about the dinar.

While some of these happenings may be coincidence ...any objective opinion could conclude that....something's up....and with hindsight we'll see it clearly.  I don't follow other forums but this one seems to have it's finger pretty close to the pulse.  (highfive)

YES THAT'S CORRECT BUT THEY HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT FINANCING YET.

HOWEVER THE 2.8 WAS SPENT OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS SUPPOSEDLY INTO THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM AND ON GRIDS FROM CHINA THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE ADDRESSED THIS AGE OLD PROBLEM.

SINCE 2003 THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD WATER AND ELECTRICITY WOULD BE FINISHED.

THEY UNDERSTOOD IT WAS LIP SERVICE WITH MALIKI GOVERNMENT BUT NOW 1 YEAR INTO ABADI AND NOTHING HE PROMISED REGARDING THE CITIZENS HAVE COME TO PASS YET.

SO WE SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
