Central bank: borrowing from the IMF will achieve the required targets Iraq

The governor of the CBI is speaking out today with regard to the pending potential loan from the IMF for $833 million dollars, stating this will aid supporting the budget as well as reducing the deficit.....well yes to both....certainly such an amount would help the budget and potentially reduce the deficit "some".....but not significantly IMO....

What it can perhaps do on a more positive note is improve Iraq's credit standing and allow them a higher credit rating.....this having merit when you rethink the international bonds they are trying to move and need as good a credit rating as possible to make them look as lucrative to investors as possible.....one scratch leads to another.....building confidence in Iraq on a global level.

Kurdistan, announces the launch of its staff the distribution of salaries for the month of April

Kurds are said to be set to make salary payments for the month of April tomorrow on Sunday.

Conscious / Najiba Najib: application of customs tariffs will be accompanied by several problems that a number of the measures do not

For some people the glass is always half empty.....problems problems seem to be the theme with this Parliament member whether she is talking from the Finance Committee or the Economy and Investment Committee...today it concerns the tariffs that will be collected by customs...pointing to potential problems of tariffs being passed on to citizens....well put some laws in place that would prevent that from happening.....because the customs tariffs are set to rock and roll come August it sounds like.....will we see some other "significant" changes made by Iraq by then.

Experts are calling for the allocation of amounts of taxes in the creation of hospitals, schools and infrastructure

Customs tariffs are slated to start being collected in August and already experts are lining up their opinions on how the money being taken in should be spent....schools and hospitals certainly should have a priority.....but the big picture must be analyzed for all expectations against what will be collected.

Samir Alnasiri *: development of the private sector, a key pillar of the reform of the Iraqi economy

Extremely long article but a good read on the play of the private sector and how it can help with the economic reform that Iraq faces today......they talk about CBI reserves being built up to $91 billion dollars in 2013....but now sit at $67 billion dollars largely due to issues surrounding the crazy drop in oil prices over the past year.....

They cover the area of economic reform and walk into reduced spending by the government, an austerity program of grand design at the insistence of PM Abadi....sound leadership and judgment on his part.....

They talk about weighing each project or prioritizing projects throughout Iraq...encouraging more and more involvement from the private sector to overcome the economic crisis....with a whole host of items the private sector can be called upon to heighten their overall involvement in things.

{Start your transaction from your home in 25} Ministry

More simplification that we first heard about a couple of days ago.....this time from Dr. Saleh...that transactions will soon be able to be made from the comfort of your own home and will be accomplished in minutes rather than days or weeks....progress of the greatest kind.
Retirement: the transfer of pensions from the hot to the provinces safe

From the sound of things, retirees who may still reside in some provinces that are struggling with terrorist issues may be able to have their pensions deposited in a different province or area that is considered more safe....now how they go to access those new funds is a guess.....hopefully the smart cards they are being issued will resolve some of those problems for them.

Hakim coalition responds to Maliki: You recognition of causing the massacre Spyker and the loss of Iraq

The leader of the Islamic Supreme Council feels comfortable enough to make statements against Maliki that he was the cause of the massacre at the Spyker Camp as well as the monumental fall of Iraq when DAASH invaded last year....poor political management they call it....they say that Maliki was responsible for anything that ran away from unity....never pushing for it at all.

Determine the August / August as the date for the next elections presidency of the region

So President Barzani is saying that August will see a new election day for the Kurds.....does not say anything about whether the Barzani family will be allowed to continue in their current reign as President and PM....but I'm thinking that is doubtful.

Break time.....surf's up.....let's hit the beach today.  Aloha   Randy
