Access the region's share of federal financial budget for the month of May
Well 508 billion dinars have reached the Kurdistan for the month of May....about half of what they think is owed to them....Baghdad claims this is the calculated value of what was owed to the Kurds....based on actual expenditures....plus whatever amount that was sent to the Kurds for April will be distributed to the Kurd employees on Sunday.

A member of the Finance Committee claims to have requested that Speaker Jubouri question the President of the General Authority for Retirement Commission on grounds of alleged corruption....and claims nothing has come of this request to date....the theft is indicated to be in the trillion dinar amount.....
My question why why why does the Finance Committee continue to bypass the Integrity Committee on this kind of action.....this is what they were put together to handle....the Fin Comm continues to dance to their own out of tune piper.
The presidency of the Kurdistan region refuses to respond to questions from the commission of inquiry in the fall of Mosul
When presented with a list of questions pertaining to the fall of Mosul the Kurdistan President Barzani declined to respond to any of them basically telling the investigation committee that the Kurds did no wrong at the time of the fall of Mosul that there were no Peshmerga in Mosul at the time of the fall, Maliki's Army was supposedly there to protect the city.....Maliki was told in advance by the Kurds of activity by DAASH in the area but no action had been taken....so Barzani does not feel the questions have any basis for him to answer at this point.
Central: Bank reserves reached $ 65 billion
Mucho mumbo-jumbo from the governor of the CBI....but bottom line the reserves for the CBI remain in excess of $65 billion dollars....last I saw it reported it said $66 billion....so due to rounding up or down it sounds like it has remained pretty much static for the last few months.
Mali: official arrival of 508 billion dinars from Baghdad to the region Khsth for May
I know this was covered by an earlier article but I wanted to throw this particular one up because one member of Parliament is pointing to the belief that the Kurds are owed 900 billion dinars for the month of May....but they say Baghdad is holding roughly half of the amount to be used to pay for expenses in fighting terrorism....
Meanwhile the Kurds will start paying April salaries on Sunday.....and of course there continues to be a major difference of opinion on just how much oil the Kurds have exported to Turkey....they say in excess of 550,000 barrels per day.....SOMO says something like 399,000 barrels per day for May.....quite an erratic difference.....I still point to a common measuring point with an agreed upon measuring device....it is not rocket science to make this happen.

The advisory board discloses a new date for the implementation of the Customs Law in Iraq
When it comes to customs tariffs it seems that everyone wants to get in the game....advisors to the COM are now agreeing with other folks that they are looking to August to kickstart the customs tariffs across all ports including those in the Kurdistan....we shall see....tariffs based on what kind of currency value some have asked....rightfully so I believe.
Khanaqin demanding the reopening of the issuance of the smart card for the displaced port
Apparently a number of displaced families who had been located at a camp that was recently closed have missed out on issuance of smart cards due to the camp closing....there are attempts underway to get cards to these folks as soon as possible.
Hatim George Hatim *: problems of determining the general budget ceiling for daily sales of foreign currency _ an economic standpoint **
Here is a rather large and complicated article that talks about the CBI and their level of independence from the political arena, the Parliament, there is considerable talk about Article 50 in the budget....but the bottom line to all that is written here is that it is in the Federal Court's hands to decide how the independence/autonomous piece works for the bank.....answers...need answers.
