hi-five : Article 50, which unlawfully capped the auctions, was added to the budget just before the vote - - the Council of Ministers had not seen it or approved it. News articles said the CBI petitioned the Federal Supreme Court March 18 and a ruling was to be made within two sessons. We should have heard from the Supreme Court by now. I wonder why there has been no ruling yet?

Mike: Hi-five, I remeber a couple of article's related to this, at first the judiciary wanted to push this decision until August but there was enough pushback to get this on the table in July, around the 8th if I remember correctly. Iraq needs to leave the independent bodies alone, the CBI is one of them.
Abadi needs to get Keywords out, he's a proxy of Maliki's, and legally install a new CBI governor who's impartial and doesn't answer to any sect or political party. Let's hope they get the decision they need from Mahmood and his crew and the CBI can begin to rebuild the dinar.

The Iranian Militia he's referring to is the actual Iranian Militia that was brought in to help to the Iraqi Army fight Daash. Reading just this one paragraph takes his comments out of context. Here's the entire post:

Wow. I could ramble on here for a while. LOL. I understand the situation in Iraq is serious. I am not stupid enough to think that al-Stupid and his goons from both inside and outside Iraq do not have influence. al-Stupid and his mafia will do anything to topple Abadi and stop democracy. Anything to the point that goes beyond ones imagination.
Nouri al-Stupid has failed. To say he "controls the scene from behind the curtain and plans to return to power in the coming years" is a joke in my personal opinion only. I could be wrong. If he is controlling the scene from behind the curtain,. he better change his strategy and change it quick.
"The plan" is being implemented right before our eyes. Laws are being implemented before they are even passed. I bet that statement would be ridiculed, chewed on and spit out by many both inside and outside dinar land. LOL.
Iraq has been following this *** road map for the 4 1/2 years I've been involved. I assume the road map was being followed before I came involved and Iraq will continue to follow this *** road map and implement the plan for the future of Iraq.
It should be obvious to anyone that follows this investment that preparations are being made according to The Future Of Iraq Project, The Strategic Framework Agreement and more importantly, The Iraqi Constitution.
All one needs to do is follow along and turn the pages of these documents as Iraq continues to move forwards joining a free market economy. Allawi is carrying the road map, the National Reconciliation File and the National Document in his brief case. It's basically just a check off list of what needs to be done.
All boxes must be checked. I don't care what the forums and the gurus say. Most of the boxes have been checked. Could there be boxes that need to be checked that we are not aware of?
I assume there could be but Iraq has been forth coming in what needs to be done. The United States gave us the plan. The United States helped Iraq write it's constitution. The USA has basically taken Iraq by the hand and are walking them along the road map.
It has been challenging for both Iraq and the US. Let's not forget what Abadi inherited when he accepted the position of Prime Minister of Iraq. He inherited Maliki's Government or let's say his mafia would be more politically correct. He also inherited the corruption that goes along with a mafia.
The corruption spread wide and deep throughout the government, the army and the entire country of Iraq. All of a sudden Abadi has a group of politicians who have power to make decisions.
Unfortunately, they have been told what to do, when to do it and how to do it for decades. The business community and the people of Iraq have been told what to do. when to do it and how to do it as well.
The consequences for all people involved from the top to the bottom for not doing what your told could very well lead to your death and or your loved ones deaths. Iraq transforming from a dictatorship to a democracy involves some very major changes.
Parliament is not use to having power much less making decisions. Many in parliament are realizing that the decisions they make will have profound effect on their country and their people. They are now being held accountable and responsible for the decisions they make. They can no longer blame it on al-Stupid.
Their actions will determine the future of Iraq for many years to come. Not to mention the terrorists... Abadi must deal with both inside and outside Iraq as well.
Iraq is making progress and they are moving forward. al-Stupid is loosing ground and is falling backwards. JMO. I could be wrong.
These are fairly big changes being made by the CBI to come out of nowhere. Banks to start opening on Saturdays (Iraq's Sabbath) four days from today to meet the needs of international standards?
Reducing the amount of time to hold deposits from 10 to 5 days in two weeks. New board member at the CBI from private banking. This wasn't just decided over night. This is all been planned. Why wait until the last minute to make the announcement?
There is certainly a lot of articles and activity surrounding the CBI right now. Not to mention Keywords to be removed and then after such a long period of complete silence, Shabibi comes out of nowhere and starts commenting on monetary policy in Iraq. It's certainly not bad news.
The dinar appears to be spinning out of control. This is the bad news. Jumping to 1400 yesterday it almost seemed they skipped the 1300's. How long before it's 2000 to 1? It appears the dinar is going in the wrong direction fast.
Shabibi is right. The government needs to keep it's nose out of the CBI's business. It's time to dump Maliki's illegally appointed goon as "Acting Governor Agency" and put a "real" Governor in the chair at the office of the CBI. We know Keywords are going to be removed. He holds the position by proxy. It's against the constitution.
Certainly a lot of activity going on around the parliament building. I thought they all went on vacation and nothing could be done. We have several articles calling for an extraordinary session of parliament to vote on the basket of laws.

Snowbird sounds like every other pumper that's been involved in this investment. It feels like he's trying to create an environment of progress when clearly, there has been very little so far.

Anyone who's been in this investment knows that nothing gets done during Ramadan or Eid, every year we hear about a "special session" and it never materializes.
There's been several articles from Parliamentarians that have stated no special session will occur, they have left the country for vacation.
The recent changes regarding what days the banks are open and speeding up the time from 10 to 5 days will have no impact on the state of the dinar.
In most, modern, countries, there is no hold on when transfers occur, why is the CBI still taking five days to make it happen?
As long as the dinar remains in Article XIV, the dollar will always be king, you can't buy anything outside the country without it. Until Iraq addresses this single issue, nothing will change monetarily. They need to get of the peg and find a way to get into Article VIII.

Well, I guess thats not really important. There are lots of "researchers" who spend an awful lot of time reading articles and come to conclusions, which dont pass the smell test, and over time prove to be flat wrong.
However, I can respect anyones efforts trying to figure out what the** they are doing over there, as long as they arent on the take from a dealer (see Sterling).
I would like to take issue with specific statements made by this person, one at a time, but there really isnt any need. I'll just be seen as a jerk. I honestly respect everyone here too much to stir things up because after all is said and done its just my opinion and how it differs from this persons' opinion. We're all on the same side. I really like this forum and all who post here. Post on my brothers and sisters!
