It appears the plan is to complete private exchanges by Monday eve or sooner. Then it is us ..the internet folks. They want us done by Wed or Thu eve. Then the exchanges will open to the general public. Ray is planning to be on a beach in St Thomas by the 20th...maybe the 24th...depends on how much biz he needs to get done before he leaves for some R & R..

wmawhite IMO, not one individual item/event will give us what we are waiting on...instead, there are a series of laws, financial initiatives that are setting up the foundation that will bring the new IQD to the world stage.
Here is another little tidbit...look at the list of notes and coins for the IQD on the CBI website. As you look at those notes and coins you can see into the past and into the future.
Those large notes tell the story since 2003 up through today.
Those smaller notes and coins are an indication of what the plans are for the IQD in the future.
The only way those smaller notes and coins will be useful in the market place is when the cost of goods are low enough for the consumer and merchant is use...and the only way those goods will be reduced in price is when the IQD is significantly more valuable outside the country.

The renminbi goes global Bloombergby Su-Lin Tan
The Bank of China in Sydney processed the first Chinese currency "Renminbi" transaction in Australia on Thursday morning following the China's launch of the new China International Payment System (CIPS).
The system will spearhead worldwide trade settlements in the renminbi and its launch marked a significant milestone in the internationalisation of the renminbi.
Bank of China Sydney's first transaction was a RMB37 million ($8 million) transfer to China for a local Australian company on Thursday morning.
For the first phase of the CIPS, the China central bank has approved 11 domestic banks and eight foreign banks to participate in the new system.
