bottom line is this:..if Iraq wanted to continue forever to use to USD they could and they would not ever have to change a thing because the world is already using the USD and Iraq has used it for the last 15 years.
So why are they spending so much time educating their citizens about new currencies? Because they are very close to replacing the USD with new IQD and nobody will use it unless it is of greater value....how do I know this?
Because they (CBI, GOI, Parliament) has told us this very information I just typed. Oh yes,...if Iraq was "holding off" why have they done all of what they have done up to today...why go to Davos and Berlin, and Washington D.C. to tell the world what?...we are holding off? What? How silly. Of course, IMO.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, on Tuesday, said that "the Minister Hoshyar Zebari held several technical and detailed talks with the International Monetary Fund officials and official team Iraq in the fund to crystallize Help Fund for Iraq under the current financial crisis," pointing out that "it was agreed to do Fund to provide emergency financial assistance to Iraq as part of the government and the Ministry of Finance own plans to reduce public expenditure. aggiedad77 :A number of you are questioning what the IMF is doing today with Iraq, against what Frank said PM Abadi was told last week....
Abadi was indeed told no to loans.....however Finance Minister Zebari went to the IMF regarding an emergency type of loan....I believe this is what is being granted....the emergency loan....and although they do not talk of the amount in today's articles.....
The articles from last week were speaking in terms of $700 million dollars for this particular loan request. Time should tell us more on the issue.
