chattels: Trial begins for Camp Speicher massacre By Associated Press

chattels: BAGHDAD — The trial of suspected militants accused of killing hundreds of Iraqi soldiers during last year's Islamic State group blitz began on Wednesday in Baghdad.

The spokesman for Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council, Abdul-Sattar Bayrkdar, said that 28 defendants are being tried for their alleged role in the killing of around 1,700 soldiers when ISIS extremists captured Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit in summer 2014.

Bayrkdar said the defendants acknowledged their participation in the killing of the soldiers who were trying to flee nearby Camp Speicher, an air base on the outskirt of Tikrit. He added that some 604 other militants, believed to have taken part in the killing, were still at large.

"The trial will be transparent and fair," he said. "The defendants acknowledged their role and we have evidences for their participation."

Donnie: ‹@chattels› GM Sir

chattels: my read on the foregoing article is that the court's decision is not helpful to Iraq from a " practical / actual " perspective according to the Finance Committee and the Prime Minister

Donnie: So is citizenship in Saint Kitts and Nevis is for investment purposes/tax savings?

chattels: ‹@Donnie› it has some interesting possibilities on a number of levels i think

Donnie: i read through the link you posted

chattels: but of the two mentioned by you, taxes

Donnie: there is an island called "The Bottom" next to St. Kitts. I'd have to visit it just to say I was at "The Bottom of the world" :)

chattels: and citizenship

Donnie: me too - on both issues

whitelions: OMG JUST PASS IT ALREADY  :dizzy:

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - national forces union announced their support to pass the law, but the National Guard after the agreement on the contentious paragraphs that delayed the passing of this law. .. http://ift.tt/1ewhcZN....

http://ift.tt/1HbnOUG

chattels: the Shiite are in no hurry about the National Guard Law

chattels: they have thousands of PMU's on the payroll without accountability

Donnie: ‹@whitelions› Union forces in favor.... it's not passed

] trader5: chattels: you could start making wild predictions of tomorrow, next week, just about here, and I think all those dealer sites would support your donate to chattles fund :cheerful:

chattels: the Kurds don't favor several versions because they have their own security forces already

Donnie: "The House of Representatives and lifting on Sunday, its usual until further notice will be determined after the Eid al-Fitr holiday"

chattels: the Kurds are not going to allow national guard forces anywhere near the disputed areas that they control or Kurdistan proper

chattels: ‹@Donnie› the Eid ends on or about the 19th / 20th as best I can determine

Donnie: sooooo it's another wait and see for 11 or so days

chattels: ‹@Donnie› legislatively so it would appear

chattels: ‹@Donnie› unless one assigns any credibility to the " zeroday " school of constitutional law and legislation

Donnie: lol

whitelions: ‹@Donnie› if you read what I said before the article you will see that I know that and just want it done already

chattels: Kaperoni seems unusually hopeful and optimistic of late

Sam: ‹@chattels› GM kap being hopeful is like you being excited

chattels: ‹@Sam› i was excited once :)

chattels: i did a disservice to myself and others

Sam: i do understand that....that is why i am not as involved now as i was

Sam: that last blow was a powerful one

chattels: ‹@Sam› i still believe that " once upon a time " and someday ........................ we may all live happily ever after.

chattels: or at least some of us may

whitelions: This investment is so old I wonder how meny people have just put they're dinar away and moved on with their lives , so when it dose rv they don't even notice and only if they happen to run across the dinar while cleaning out a closet at some point do they check it

whitelions: because I can see where a lot of people got so tired of the pumpers that they just walked away

chattels: ‹@whitelions› you are likely correct. another interesting " factoid " is likely that most people have very little IQD

] chattels: i have been a part of some groups where there was a confidential and secure exchange of information between group members and the number of people with far less than one million dinar was surprising to me

whitelions: ‹@chattels› I agree but thank god I started doing the resaurch for myself back in 08 saw it for what it was and made an investment out of it

chattels: ‹@whitelions› i am glad of your self confidence - i have seen houses / homes divided with very unhappy endings

chattels: one spouse's reality is another's fantasy

whitelions: ‹@chattels› I did not say that my house is not devided b/c it is we do not talk about the dinar here but they will all hit themselfs in the head when it's done I have some that own but most don't

whitelions: ‹@chattels› I have 9 brothers and sisters

chattels: for many / most i dare say that the purchase of IQD should be seen and approached as gambling - if one cannot afford to lose it then don't wager it

whitelions: ‹@chattels› so true

chattels: ‹@whitelions› i have four siblings and two of them purchased a very little bit - i have always been the dreamer in the family :)

chattels: or perhaps i should say be prepared to lose it as i really cannot afford to lose mine, but I am prepared to do so without a wimper

chattels: well maybe a whimper, but no long term mourning :)

whitelions: lol me to but unlike you I don't carry a heavy wet blanket I see the good in all until they show me the bad in them and then I just walk away the first time

Sam: enjoy reading your conversation but how can the richest country not at some point have a currency that is worth something

Sam: especially when their neighbors have currency that has worth

chattels: ‹@whitelions› my " wet blanket " attitude has nothing to do with the character of individuals as much as my read / take on the short term prospects or certain schools of thought

whitelions: ‹@Sam› your right and how people can;t see that more so since Abadi has been pm

chattels: ‹@Sam› why do you say " richest " country ?

Sam: because of the oil, gold, and in my opinion the biblical babylon

Sam: agriculture

chattels: Iraq's budget is a little smaller than the State of California

whitelions: ‹@Sam› everything coming into the country there is no way to stay at the current rate and they have to compete in the world market so they need a competive rate to stay in compatiton

chattels: Iraq is a rentier state / economy

chattels: no time for extended discussion this morning

chattels: work calling

chattels: i am taking my wet blanket with me

whitelions: ‹@Sam› one of thei things that is holding back the ME is in the Karon it is told that the lands will stay in a state of kaous until Ala comes back to lead them out Iran in way is like isiss (and one of the reasons it is supporting them under cover ) fully believes it he ME is slowly coming out of that frame of mind and Iraq is going to be one of the riches in the ME

whitelions: Maliki son , Reported arrest "Ahmad Al-Maliki" ordered by Abbadi http://ift.tt/1ewhcZN.... http://ift.tt/1HbnOUI

Donnie: ‹@Sam› Figures and estimates are from the International Monetary Fund World Economic Outlook Database, April 2013. 2013 Ranking of Coutries, from Richest to Poorest, According to Gross Domestic Product Based on Purchasing-Power-Parity (PPP) Per Capital

Donnie: US 7th, Iran 75th and Iraq 104th

Donnie: US 7th, Iran 75th and Iraq 104th

Sam: ok so rain on my parade lol

Donnie: it's not about what's in the ground but Purchasing Power.

Sam: yes

Donnie: see more here: http://ift.tt/1fo3XuI...

http://ift.tt/1OnDvOD

Sam: but isnt the purchasing power right now based upon the fact that their currency isnt worth a flip

Donnie: The measure that most economists prefer, therefore, is GDP (PPP) ["GDP based on purchasing power parity"] per capita. GDP (PPP) per capita compares generalized differences in living standards on the whole between nations because PPP takes into account the relative cost of living and the inflation rates of countries , rather than using just exchange rates, which may distort the real differences in income.

The indicator measures GDP converted to a common set of prices in a common currency (international dollars, also called Geary-Khamis dollars) so that real quantity comparisons can be made both between countries and over time.

Donnie: this explains a lot of why Iraq is considered so poor

Sam: now you are speaking greek to me...especially communication like this .... brb have to walk the dog

whitelions: ‹@Donnie› I know why they are poor it's the fact that they are coming in to there own so to speak is what I'm lookin at

Donnie: ‹@whitelions› i was answering SAMs question about Iraq being rich

Donnie: why they are not considered rich

whitelions: some people may need to know and can't get past that I want to know when so I can move into my dreams sooner b/c I will get there with or with out the dinar

Donnie: ‹@Sam› ‹@whitelions› seems i'm not explaining myself very well to neither of you today so I'm going to stop now. Have a nice day!!

Donnie: BBL

whitelions: see you later have a good one

TxBrand: Donnie: US 7th, Iran 75th and Iraq 104th

Donnie: China, South Africa sign agreement for yuan clearing system in SA July 8, 2015, 5:12 am

Donnie: China’s central bank on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with its South African counterpart to set up a yuan clearing system in South Africa. The MOU is for the purposes of clearing and settlement of yuan in South Africa, said the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

Beijing is keen on substituting the US dollar with the yuan in all of China’s trade with other countries. “Both central banks agreed to coordinate and cooperate on the supervision, oversight and clearing of renminbi (Chinese currency) in South Africa and also to exchange information in order to facilitate the continuous improvement and development of bilateral trade,” said Candice Jeffreys, Media Coordinator of the SARB.

“The MOU marks another important milestone through joint efforts to build capabilities in South Africa’s financial markets to better serve bilateral trade, investment and financial flows between China and South Africa,” Jeffreys said. China and South Africa central bank governors had met in Moscow on Tuesday during a BRICS meet where they signed an operating agreement on the $100 billion monetary fund.

The BRICS Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA) will come into force on 30 July. China is now South Africa’s largest export partner.

The move will expand the list of countries with direct access to trade in the Chinese currency. The Chinese currency now trades directly with the Japanese yen, the Australian dollar, the Brazilian real, the EU’s euro, the New Zealand dollar and many other currencies.

BOC became the RMB clearing bank in Frankfurt and Paris last year, while China Construction Bank was authorized to be the RMB clearing bank in London.
