Director General Adel al-Masoudi, in a statement, attributed the prohibition to the protection of the consumer, depending on health and official reports.
Some of the products were all Chinese products that have milk as ingredient, live fish, food- Sudanl material, Mango juice (Delta) and Maza of Jordanian origin, the statement added.
In addition, other materials of Jordanian, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Turky, Iran, Italy, Holland , Brazil, USA, Spain, Bulgaria and New Zealand.
Some of the prohibited products were having additives more than the percentage officially permitted and did not meet Iraqi standardization specification, Masoudi added.
On 3 June, 2016, the company issued a list of the prohibited cigarettes for the same reasons of protecting the consumers.
