millionday: NOTE -- THIS IS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ISX SITE AND ENTRIES YOU CAN CLICK ON FOR INFORMATION --
millionday: THE REASON THIS IS INTERESTING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT WE HAVE SEEN DURING THE ENTIRE -- INVESTMENT
millionday: MARKET PERFORMANCE NOW HAS TWO SELECTIONS AVAILABLE ::: PRIMARY MARKET ---- AND SECONDARY MARKET
millionday: P R I M A R Y MARKET
millionday: SECONDARY MARKET IS NEW
millionday: AS OF TODAY
millionday: NOW LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT A SECONDARY MARKET IS -- BRB
millionday: >>>>DEFINITION of 'Secondary Market' A market where investors purchase securities or assets from other investors, rather than from issuing companies themselves.
The national exchanges - such as the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ are secondary markets.
millionday: NOW THE ADDITION OF THE SECONDARY MARKET IS VERY INTERESTING AND EXCITING TO SAY THE LEAST –
HOWEVER -- THE SECONDARY MARKET IS >>> NOT ONLY NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE WHICH ALLOWS NEW YORK INVESTORS TO INVEST IN THE ISX –
BUT IT IS ALSO THE NASDAQ MARKET -- WHICH OF COURSE IS THE CURRENCY MARKET
millionday: NOW THE REASON THIS EXCITES ME OF COURSE IS THAT IRAQ HAS BEEN ORDERED TO DO THE INTERNATIONAL EQUATION AND THE BANKS HAVE BEEN WARNED TO PROTECT THROUGH THEIR CHOICES THE INTERBANK MARKET ------ SMILE ---
millionday: NOW THIS IS THE TIME THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF ANYONE HERE HAS EXPERT INPUT THEY COULD ADD THAT IS NOT INFO ON THEIR OWN INVESTMENTS BUT ACTUAL EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE THROUGH PROFESSION OF ANY KIND
millionday: PLEASE KNOW YOU WILL NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE --
Papatom: the nasdaq is a stock exchange, not a currency market exchange. In 1972, NASDAQ stood for National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations.[4] NASDAQ was founded in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD),[5]
which divested itself of NASDAQ in a series of sales in 2000 and 2001. NASDAQ is owned and operated by the The NASDAQ OMX Group, the stocks of which were listed on its own stock exchange beginning July 2, 2002, under the ticker symbol NDAQ
millionday: EXCELLENT -- THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Rvsandy: The primary market is where securities are created. It's in this market that firms sell (float) new stocks and bonds to the public for the first time.
Rvsandy: The secondary market is what people are talking about when they refer to the "stock market".
millionday: THANK YOU
millionday: AT THIS TIME I WILL BRING WHAT ELSE I HAVE ON THE SECONDARY MARKET INFO I HAVE RESEARCHED
millionday: THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INPUT
CanTWaitwoRV: When I see this I also think about the euro bonds/sovereign bonds Iraq plans on launching soon
CanTWaitwoRV: need a platform for it to go global with the release
Papatom: with the coming bond sales Iraq is doing....the need for them to have a primary market would exist....because Iraq is selling them ..... the secondary market could be as they are resold on the exchange...
Papatom: as larger brokerages buy from Iraq, and then resell them
millionday: GREAT POINT PAPA
millionday: PLEASE DONT MISUNDERSTAND AND THINK WE EXPECT YOU TO BE A PROFESSOR -- ANY INFO IS WELCOMED
RML: What is intriguing is that an asset (stocks, bonds, etc) to become a security (i.e., liquid) it must be registered via Euroclear, Bloomberg, etc. with CUSIP numbers indicating the registry.
If Iraq comes out with a bond in the plus basis point column (most sovereign bonds are close to zero now), AND they have at least an A rating, Katie bar the door. Iraq's bonds would be the world's hottest investment.
millionday: GREAT POINT RML -- THANK YOU FOR THAT INFO
buck: nasdaq fx What is Nasdaq FX?
Nasdaq is launching a suite of FX products and services that our members can use to build and reinforce their own FX business models, so they can survive and thrive in the new FX landscape.

(if this helps?? )
Papatom: in my opinion, it would be very difficult for a bond sold by Iraq to NOT come out in the plus side, if you take into account their reserves are 1.75% of their currency and they have an ever growing supply of oil being discovered, untold natural gas reserves and the list goes on and on and on.....
millionday: THANK YOU BUCK -- AS IN THIS WILL ALLOW COMPANIES TO HAVE DIVERISTY IN THEIR PORTFOLIO
millionday: GOOD POINT
millionday: VERY ENCOURAGING PAPA

millionday: GOOD POINT
millionday: VERY ENCOURAGING PAPA
millionday: HERE WE GO WITH SOME TERMS TO HELP WITH UNDERSTANDING TO SEPARATE THE TWO FOR EVERYONE
millionday: Primary Market
The primary market is where securities are created. It's in this market that firms sell (float) new stocks and bonds to the public for the first time.
For our purposes, you can think of the primary market as being synonymous with an initial public offering (IPO). Simply put, an IPO occurs when a private company sells stocks to the public for the first time.
millionday: IPOs can be complicated because many different rules and regulations dictate the processes of institutions, but they all follow a general pattern:
millionday: 1. A company contacts an underwriting firm to determine the legal and financial details of the public offering.
2. A preliminary registration statement, detailing the company's interests and prospects and the specifics of the issue, is filed with the appropriate authorities. Known as a preliminary prospectus, or red herring, this document is neither finalized nor is it a solicitation by the company issuing the new shares. It is simply an information pamphlet and a letter describing the company's intent.
millionday: NOTE -- FIRST THE INTENTION IS GIVEN TO THE COMMISSION
millionday: 3. The appropriate governing bodies must approve the finalized statement as well as a final prospectus, which details the issue's price, restrictions and benefits, and is issued to those who purchase the securities. This final prospectus is legally binding for the company.
The important thing to understand about the primary market is that securities are purchased directly from an issuing company.
millionday: NOTE -- THE LEGAL CONTRACTS ARE DONE WITH THE COMMISSION AND MUST BE FOLLOWED
millionday: NOW HERE COMES THE IMPORTANT CHANGE THAT HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE ISX TODAY
millionday: Secondary Market
The secondary market is what people are talking about when they refer to the "stock market". This includes the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Nasdaq and all major exchanges around the world.
The defining characteristic of the secondary market is that investors trade among themselves.
That is, in the secondary market, investors trade previously issued securities without the issuing companies' involvement.
For example, if you go to buy Microsoft stock, you are dealing only with another investor who owns shares in Microsoft. Microsoft (the company) is in no way involved with the transaction.
millionday: NOTE -- THIS IS HOW THE "LITTLE PEOPLE" INVEST – SMILE
