[tlm724] PM Abadi has the legal right to dismiss the bank managers of the state run banks
[tlm724] there are hundreds of ministers in the GOI and some of them are very vocal about the firing of these managers as we just showed you today and over the last several days. Ask yourself why are they so upset if it is the legal right of the Prime Minister to do so ? Could be that as always these ministers and it sure appears the Minister of Finance Zebari are out of the loop so to speak
[tlm724] we KNOW 100 % that the IMF is in control of the economy including and not limited too the banking sector. BondLady and I had a lengthy discussion about this and I will share some with you all
[tlm724] first we have to look at the whole picture. I think we can all agree that Abadi did the right thing in firing these managers as they have held their positions for a very long time and during that time they know the banking system inside and out and how to work it to their advantage to steal etc...
[tlm724] but as we know there is a new electronic system getting ready to be launched so if Abadi puts in new managers who will be grateful to have their positions they can start fresh with this new electronic system of oversight and transparency thus eliminating the lions share of corruption and that makes sense to us
[cat] yep
[poopsie] indeed
[tlm724] do you believe that Abadi would make such a bold move without the consent of the IMF ?
[cat] nope
[tlm724] exactly our thoughts too cat
[tlm724] so why would the Prime Minister give them exemption when he fired or retired them ? After some discussion we thought perhaps it may not be immunity per sa but the opportunity to catch them red handed perhaps letting them just walk away thinking they got away with it, stealing that much money (billions) and creating mafia's over the years, surely they won't get away with that ?
[cat] hope not
[tlm724] we think not, maybe they have the goods on them already and are just playing them to be able to follow the money trail and recover some of it back
[tlm724] I just can't believe for one second that the IMF would allow them to get off scot free
[tlm724] so although it appears to have caused quite an uproar of indignation among the ministers we believe that it is all part of the reform process, that these managers won't get away with it
[cat] yes
[tlm724] just like our government has ears and eyes everywhere so does Iraq and I am sure WE are behind the scenes there as well
[cat] probably the IMF gave them a time frame
[tlm724] we will watch as this all plays out
[tlm724] cat indeed !
[tlm724] paying off their debts, cleaning up the banks, getting rid of the crooked traders and banks, launching reform, the minister of planning launch last week, electronic banking system in place. I feel the free market economy coming on
[cat] yeppers
[tlm724] any questions or comments so far ?
[cat] no you have done great
[tlm724] PM Abadi had a statement let me show you
A statement from the Information Office of the Prime Minister Syed about changing the departments of banks Some social networking sites dealt with clues regarding commissioned a number of specialized government banks management. And clarification of the show is as follows;
1. It Diwani which was released by order of the Prime Minister came to confirm the reform approach in moving the wheel to work in the banking sector, coincided with the launch of a broader lending to industrial, agricultural and residential projects in the private sector, in which he decides to adopt advanced and transparent methods based on the presentation and electronic monitoring methodology, and not according to the usual bureaucratic methods.

[tlm724] you can't have the loan without the reform !
2. None of the banks who are now assigned to the management went on their banking at least thirteen years, though their resumes, and professional reputations, supports the nomination of sites selected process. The fact that the experience some of them in the non - government banks is something that reflects the traditional self deplorable performance in the non - governmental sector.
[tlm724] he is saying these new managers have enough experience to get the job done, they can be taught the proper way of doing business as well. Where they could, in no way, teach those old corrupt dogs new tricks nor would they want too !
