ReaderThoughts On “Brexit – The New Modern-Nationalism Is Global Governance (Freepom)”
Prös Gud So you’re saying that you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t? You’re out on an island on this one.
JC Collins I usually am.
Paul Jarl Klaszus Hardly, JC.. It looks great on paper, and certainly gives a sense of independence and encourages national pride, but in the end, it’s all a simulation. If it’s an island, it’s growing in population.
Prös Gud How do we combat their aims? How do we stop globalism? Or is it inevitable given their endless resources?
JC Collins The historical trend for thousands of years is a consolidation of civilization. No reason to think it will reverse.

Mark Schoenfelt JC- Do you think the contagion in the markets is going to increase or die down?
JC Collins It’ll settle down. But there will be a steady volatility which will justify a broader use of the SDR and further monetary reforms.
Vasiles The followers of this site where (probably) not surprised with this result. It has been foretold. A huge success for you JC, as you clarify the script for us, filtering-out all the MME noise
Just a comment from me: part of the American elite is aligned, but there is another part that isn’t. Maybe it is a simulacrum to gain a better position, as you suggest
But I dont think so. There is a part that cannot begin to imagine how things will be without emission
Dane “It is an act of genius to allow and create an environment which encourages the growth of national movements only to use those movements as a strategy to further consolidate governance frameworks and repackage globalization as a new modern-nationalism.”
This got me thinking like taking one step back to take two forward. But then I stumbled into this…
“When did people shift from having a genius to being a genius? Starting in the 14th century, a genius denoted a guardian spirit, and someone with extraordinary talent was said to have a genius, because his or her gift was thought to be the result of some supernatural help.”

You may be onto something there JC. Lol I’m probably taking it totally out of context :)
Either way it does seem to make sense in a phase of consolidation. In a supermicro way a company may consolidate to streamline processes which usually results in better service and some sort of cost savings. Expand that to a macro level and it does seem to fit.
I think the ones who are resisting now will eventually give way to the forces of change. The transformation seems pretty far along to think it could revert. Yeah war could break out but there are no guarantees which way of thinking or ruling would prevail. War equals both sides losing though and a great loss to humanity in my opinion.
Dripfood I am afraid you’re right about this modern nationalism. Populism is an effective tool to use against the people. Though I fail to see how abusing the ignorance and emotional reaction patterns of the people is an act of genius.
Do you think all these modern demagogues were groomed and sponsored by an organized elite (or elitized organ ;)?
I sure hope ‘they’ are able to keep the demagogues in check this time around. And that there’s a plan to effectively defuse overheated emotional responses from the ignorant masses.
They’re playing with fire here….
neal poole ‘Such realignment will consist of each of the EU members returning to the domestic use of national currencies.’
Assets and liabilities in Europe’s financial system and economy are so intermingled based on a single currency that if each of the EU members returned to the use of domestic currencies some institutions would have a windfall profit, others would have a windfall loss and the markets wouldn’t be able to distinguish between who is broke and who isn’t. Under free market operations any collateralised asset would soon be worth zero.
It might be feasible if you pulled together all assets, liabilities and transactions under a structured digital ledger so that individual assets could be valued under certain circumstances. But this uncharted territory would come with it’s own risks.
