Hi Guys, I want to clarify something since it has already reached distorted rumor levels. I got an email from my Wells Financial Adviser yesterday, 6/20, asking me for the latest news.
He has never reached out to me about the currencies but has always been a great help when I had questions. He is a regional manager with accounts up to 10M. I have been with him 3 years.
He has not been read in to the currency exchange, though he does know someone in that “division” and has told me where the regional exchange office is located. He is hearing things which lead him to believe it's coming down the pike.
After several emails and a phone call he asked me to summarize what I believe is happening and he has forwarded my email to his Exchange contact. I am waiting for a response. That's it.

Iko Ward: His motive is simple. He knows he will not be included as my principal adviser but as a reward for his help I have told him I will request him as my local banking contact. A big feather in his cap.
He also has a email trail beginning in October of 2013. He is hoping to start a dialog between me and the exchange division. HE HAS NOT BEEN TOLD ANY DATES OR RATES. I know more than he does, but I now have a advocate who can pick up the phone and ask the exchange guy questions.
Whether he'll answer is another matter. It is clear the exchange info is trickling down the ranks. This tells me their pot is boiling over. People are talking.
It is also clear they are still holding tight on the intel For him to reach out to me in an email tells me he is comfortable being on record. I will monitor this post and try to answer questions through LIA: . I have to do things this way for security reasons.

Things out west are COMPLETED now. Was an administrative hold that had happened 164 times over past couple years. IF that hold is not off already, it should be off by noon tomorrow.

We know that there was a large conference call since last Thursday that involved most of the major banks including WF, HSBC, Bank of Zimbabew, Bank of Viet Nam. Entire call was geared toward discussing timing of the release, rates etc. One rate was slightly adjusted.
Rates we are looking for are still there. The low rates we've heard about are not true. Rates are high for the first 6 days.
Very little real intel left. Down to the release of the notifications (i.e 800s) and the announcement about the asset backed currency. These can happen at any time and in any order
Will be major announcements coming up about a variety of things. We are in the momemt
WE can trust that the release is really imminent... be expectant and don't be shocked

Blinkster: Family I wanted to bring up something that has been on my mind. I know there are those concerned with Dr Shabibi's past statements about when he would want to do this. Frank addressed this subject briefly in a post last night.
Now, if I recall correctly, the CBI can make their revaluation/currency value adjustment RETROACTIVE TO JAN 1st. IF that is indeed the case, and I believe it is; it's irrelevant where we are on the calendar regarding the MR process...and it's important to consider this...along with Frank's comment last night. IMO, YMMV, etc.

MT: I am respectfully curious. So based on that line of thinking, the first half of 2016 is relevant to delivering Iraq to the international theater but the delivery and timing of the reality rate to move the process forward through the next is not bound by the same timing or expectation?
If that is the mindset of the GOI/CBI then what happens to those parties that have delivered or promised loans/grants/investments to Iraq with some expectation of performance.
How many times will Iraq be permitted to reset the clock before the world becomes uninterested?
I don't know the answer to these questions and I don't believe that Iraq would waste the gifts that have been bestowed... I guess we just continue to study and wait for more clues to reveal themselves as the process unfolds.
