BGG says():I think I can break this down for you in three short excerpts...

BGG says():said Haider " the need for banks tab and categorized over the next few years, as well as highlight the most banks stable in the market and thus make it international." ...

...(Haider) was baffled Abadi, was relieved of six directors of banks governmental organizations...

BGG says):...in the market and thus make it international." ... (referring to the Iraqi market)...

BGG says):..." revitalize the banking sector and Sir national strategy to stimulate the economy... the best formula, according to the government 's plans. "...

BGG says():I have been beating this drum lately about there being a GOI PLAN for a few days now...

BGG says():it's in print...

BGG says():they have been clear...

BGG says():now it looks a lot like Abaidi is moving things forward pretty fast.

BGG says():oddly enough - there was a bit about Maliki wanting to "take Iraq back" to a point sometime in the past - talking about Iraq needing a "strong man" leader... HE IS CRACKED.

BGG says():I really see this as success on multiple planes...

BGG says():Abadi not only evaded Maliki's direct charge on him (recently) - but he is having some real success in removing corruption and implementing serious reforms and advancements in Iraq's financial sector. The key to their future.

Hutch says to BGG():wow WHAT GREAT NEWS !!!

Hutch says():ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS?

horsegal says():so, there is a government plan that is being followed, despite the fact that there are still corrupt ministers in the government?

Hutch says to BGG():  [7:59 PM] horsegal: so, there is a government plan that is being followed, despite the fact that there are still corrupt ministers in the government?

BGG says():Got to separate the GOI from the Parliament - of course there are plenty of Maliki left-overs... but it appears they see the writing on the wall and will likely fall in line as time goes on. Things will never go back to the way they were.

BGG says):and ultimatley the GOI currently falls on Abadi's shoulders.

BGG says):He wants legit people in places of influence. Technocrats - he's obviously read history and is learning from previous lessons (Germany - WWII)

Hutch says to horsegal():GREAT QUESTION !

BGG says():BEFF!!

honugirl says():Have you heard any news on the tariffs being implements fully?

honugirl says():(H)

honugirl says():*implemented

BGG says():I was going to get to that arrticle next.

BGG says():not sure about "fully" - but they are talking about mid June.

BGG says():in the article.

BGG says():and that - my friends IS GOOD NEWS.

honugirl says():Yes it is!!!

BGG says():because I have been pretty adamant in the past about full tariffs = value (or economic death).

mrjazzman66 says():Will Maliki ever be proscuted?

BGG says to mrjazzman66():I think so...

BGG says to mrjazzman66():I doubt in our timing...

mrjazzman66 says():thank you

BGG says to mrjazzman66():Abadi is chiseling away at his powerbase.

BGG says():Here's a guy I missed. LOOP!! You the man...

BGG says():he put this in the Current Iraq News thread.

BGG says():Iraqi ports apply "new tariff" mid-June current

Dr.Tom says():Can they truly inact the tariffs with-out a reval of there $ ?

BGG says():Long - Presse / Baghdad announced public company for Iraqi ports, on Thursday, the application of a new list of tariffs, as will be shown that the application of the middle of the current month of June, confirmed that the rise "slightly" witnessed some of the vocabulary of the new tariff.

BGG says):The company said in a statement received (range Press), a copy of which, " The General Company for Ports of Iraq, decided to apply the list of tariff revenues and new wages for 2016 as of June 15 this ,

BGG says():Now - let me point this out. I don't get the sense this is some "broad based" tariff implementation...

BGG says():but it is good news they are headed this direction.

BGG says():things feel a lot like a process "in motion" right now...

BGG says to jtank():gimme a sec

jtank says():With the tariffs fully enforced will there be much inflation with the Iraq end user or consumer?

BGG says():I make these comments in light of commentary by their own economists...

BGG says():if they elevate their full tariff package WITHOUT adding value to the Dinar - it would be economic SUICIDE. According to them (BGG paraphrase)...

BGG says():hence my comments - Tariffs fully implemented = value added to the Dinar.

BGG says):(previous comments - going back months... )

tiffany01 says to BGG():So you are saying you don't think the full tarrifs will be done on the 15th?

BGG says to tiffany01():I did not say that - I was commenting on this article on it's own merit...

BGG says to tiffany01():it does not have the "feel" of some MAJOR TARIFF declaration - to me.

tiffany01 says to BGG():Ok thanks :)

Hutch says to BGG():[8:13 PM] Dr.Tom: Can they truly inact the tariffs with-out a reval of there $ ?

Hutch says to BGG():[8:18 PM] jtank: With the tariffs fully enforced will there be much inflation with the Iraq end user or consumer?

BGG says to Hutch():Fully?? - no - I doubt it.

jtank says():economic suicide answered it--thx Bgg

Hutch says to BGG():THAT WAS FOR DR TOM

BGG says():If one looks at Abadi's record thus far... I doubt it.

BGG says():he won't do that. He's been on Finance and Economic committees - he's smart.
BGG says():Here's a quickie...
