It quoted officials in the Pentagon as saying that investigators were questioning the detainee in temporary detention centre in Erbil, Northern Iraq, to be handed over to authorities in Kurdistan.
Officials described the arrest of the unnamed leader, that is very important in combating daash.
The newspaper said a special task force comprising some 200 element including large number of Delta commando force deployed in Iraq several weeks ago, carried out the arrest.
The Pentagon refuses to give any information on the force, fearing the effect on their operations. Although small in size but it is the first us ground force deployed to perform operations against the leaders in Iraq daash since the withdrawal of us forces from the country b
