tman23 says():A Kurdish delegation will soon visit the Iraqi capital to bring the case of Kurdish independence under spotlight in Baghdad, and discuss the issue on the negotiating table with the Iraqi officials.
A source revealed to BasNews that the time of the referendum will be set after concluding the negotiations with the central government. “Also, Kurdistan Region will consult with the neighbouring countries [Iran and Turkey] if people voted for independence,” the source stated.
Kurdistan Region President has recently urged the Kurdish political parties to work on holding a Kurdish independence referendum as it is the time to allow the Kurds determining their future.
The source explained that such negotiations between Erbil and Baghdad are essential as they have many things in common, including the currency, economy and more importantly the oil fields in Kirkuk.

Moshe Ya'alon, the Israeli Defence Minister, said in a discussion panel on Middle-East at Wilson Centre in Washington that they will support the Kurdish independence for the best of the region. He insisted that the creation of an independent state of Kurdistan will stabilise the Middle East.
