Thunderhawk:  It's no secret..Over the years as some of you may know.

Many inventions as to alternate energy concepts were ether shelved or scrapped,
All in interests of oil revenues, Electrical power etc....

Sometimes the inventors were accidented.

OOP'S did I say that, Shame on me!

Never the less we all could have been living better lives "IF" these inventions were a part of our every day lives.

Iran unveils first water consuming motor-car

Iran's first water consuming motot-car was unveiled in the 15th International Environment Exhibit on Wednesday.

Alborz Province Governor-General Hamid Tahaie and the head of the provincial Department of Environment (DOE) Hossein Mohammadi attended the ceremony of the first environment-friendly car.

The inventor of the car, Alaeddin Qassemi, told IRNA in the unveiling ceremony of the water-consuming engine that it is quite an environment-friendly.

'In order to replace gasoline with water in this car there was no need to change the entire engine parts and the required changes are very little,' he added.

Qassemi, who is member of the National Center of Iranian Elites said that the fuel tank of the car is filled with 60 liters of water and it can run a 900 kilomter distance in ten hours time.

'This car's engine only produces water vapor and the car's air pollution is therefore zero,' he added.

He said that each liter of gasoline produces 29 mega jules of energy while one liter of water generates 96 mega jules.

He said that the invention has been internationally registered and today its patent is in the process of registration in Britain.

'Water can replace both gasoline and gas-oil in combustion engines,' he added.

Thunderhawk:  Europe-Iran Bank (Eihbank) resumes activities

The first German bank resumed its activities in Iran, the German NTV announced here Thursday.

The commercial bank of Europe and Iran, Eihbank, with its headquarter in Hamburg has resumed its activities, including money transfers and payments, with Iran following the normalization of relations between Tehran and European capitals and implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPA) between Iran and P5+1.

Eihbank began its activities on Tuesday last week, said the report. It works under Germany’s banking license while it was in Germany’s banking sanctions list for five years and its assets had been blocked. It has been reconnected to the SWIFT system since mid-February and resumed its activities.
The TV Channel Network also reported that German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Sigmar Gabriel has recently intensified his efforts to convince German banks and financial institutes to resume their activities in Iran.

He has also dispatched his deputy Matthias Machnig to negotiate with representatives of German banks, the report added.

The German deputy economic minister will take part in an economic-financial conference in Tehran this weekend, NTV Channel Network said.

Thunderhawk:  SWIFT banking system operational in Iran

Managing Director of Bank of Industry and Mine has denied reports that SWIFT banking system has not been restored in Iran, saying that money transfer has become operational since 10 days ago.

Ali Ashraf Afkhami, speaking in a meeting with members of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, further remarked that the SWIFT system was operational in his bank and its confirmation has also been received.

He said since the first day of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), January 17, the ban on SWIFT was removed but for the reopening of the systems and resumption of the operation of this process there was a time demand.

The foreign exchange deputy of the Central Bank of Iran in response to those who claimed SWIFT has not become operational had told IRNA earlier that Iran had paid $780 million through SWIFT for its increased share in the International Monetary Fund

Gholamali Kamyab said Iran’s share in IMF with 138% increase now amounts to 3,567 million SDR from the previous 1,497 million SDR and consequently Iran’s right of voting has reached 0.74% from the previous 0.62% and this has been done through SWIFT.

Thunderhawk:  India to bring Iran back into banking clearing union

India plans to resume settling trade with Iran under a regional clearing house system after a gap of five years, the government said on Wednesday, as New Delhi seeks to promote trade ties with Tehran following the lifting of sanctions.

The Asian Clearing Union (ACU), including India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka, facilitates payments among members, economizing on the use of foreign exchange reserves and transfer costs, as well as promoting trade and banking relations among participants.

The Reserve Bank of India decided in December 2010 not to facilitate oil trades through the ACU system. That left India and Iran, the only oil producer in the union, scouting for a stable payment mechanism to settle trade, reports the Economic Times.

But a permanent banking channel could not be established due to pressure from Western nations, leading to a drastic reduction in India's oil imports from Tehran.

The Indian central bank has sought the consent of the finance ministry to get Iran back into the fold of ACU, junior foreign affairs minister V.K. Singh told parliament.

He said the government is also considering a request from Iranian banks to open branches in India and reactivate their accounts.

Despite Western sanctions India continued with its engagement with Iran and was among a handful of countries that were sourcing oil from Tehran.
As ties deepen further, India has extended a $150 million credit line to Iran to help develop its Chabahar port.

The port in southeast Iran is central to New Delhi's efforts to circumvent Pakistan and open up a route to Central Asia as well as Afghanistan where it has developed close security ties and economic interests.

'A contract between Indian Special Purpose Vehicle and Arya Bandar of Iran for development of Chahbahar Port has been finalized,' Singh said.
He also said in January India decided to extend the credit for the start of a contract to supply 250,000 tonnes of steel rails to Iran through State Trading Corp.

Thunderhawk:  Siemens urges long-term cooperation with Iran

New deal between German industrial group Siemens and Iranian power and infrastructure group Mapna can serve as a good example for economic cooperation and both sides can use each other's experience and knowledge, said member of Managing Board of Siemens, Siegfried Russwurm.

Addressing a ceremony attended by Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian and managing director of Mpana Abbas Aliabadi, he said that the deal was concluded on the basis of mutual confidence and it can pave the way for greater opportunities for both sides.

He also hoped that the agreement will provide win-win situation for both sides.

'We want a sustainable and long-term cooperation and Iran is a good base for Siemens to supply services to neighboring states,' he said.
The German industrial group signed an energy agreement with Iranian power and infrastructure group Mapna, extending its early re-entry into the country after the lifting of sanctions.

Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian and German Minister of Economic Affairs Sigmar Gabriel witnessed the ceremony.

Mapna will acquire the technology to manufacture Siemens F-class gas turbines in Iran and the two parties will cooperate to deliver more than 20 gas turbines and associated generators over the next decade.
