Where in the world is SHREDD Santiago?

[SHREDD] good now........this last 13 months were a storm for me but all good now

[SHREDD] i was getting pounded at work with a total of three promotions but things have settled down now and I'm back to a much more normal situation

[SHREDD] I got my java fixed this morning
[SHREDD] and have been reading much more of the news these last 4 weeks

[SHREDD] I've been really interested in the IMF threatening pulling funding due to political lag
[cstacy] i know huh
[SHREDD] that was a huge part of their loan, to get to a market economy
[cstacy] yes
[SHREDD] the FC and planning need to make a move soon

[SHREDD] yeah, heard that before?

[SHREDD] seriously tho, I'm encouraged. We'll have to see how this plays out

[SHREDD] yeah, I know.......but big picture, we're still talking currency. It's as simple as it's complex. The dinar will represent true value and the power to boost it to far above where it is has been in place from the beginning.

[SHREDD] I trust it will. Politically, laws that have long been needing to be passed must be. Economically, the float needs to be engaged as part of moving to a "market economy". Planning, needs to plan the timing and process around keeping money supply at the necessary level.
[SHREDD] also, good to see that article from yesterday or the day before about the trip to Washington to discuss increasing the rating

[SHREDD] if nothing else, this shows us the plan to bring international investment into Iraq is still a priority
[RCS1947] yes it's good to see the wheels are still turning on the efforts of the WB and IMF
[SHREDD] indeed. Iraq must be compliant with having a true representation of value behind their currency. It's not a matter of they can or should but they must be compliant. A falsely held down rate is not compliant nor is a "dual currency" model.
[SHREDD] I am glad to see this continued pressure.
[SHREDD] I can't recall if the IMF originally stated mid year or first part of the year but clearly the deadline to their patience is near.

Purchasing power is what the Iraqis will gain once the Dinar gains strength and seeing this proof that the demand is there spells out a rapid appreciation. They aren't buying goats and clay pots, they are strong e-commerce consumers!
