Tootsie: I found the article requesting them to purchase bonds rather than hoarding interesting ~~ If 18% on funds, why purchase bonds ?? Unless CBI need to tie up the funds for a while ~ did not note an interest rate on them however. Probably missed hitting one of my brain cells

Donnie: IF the Dinar RVs then the Dinar deposits in the banks will still be the same amt of dinar. It won't change unless iraqis exchange some Dinar for USD and why would they do that when they can only use dinar to purchase items in Iraq?

Donnie: IMO - after RV the items in Iraq will cost a lot less Dinar to purchase because the price to import items at USD then exchanged to Dinar will change

Donnie: In the US the dollar has risen a lot over the years and prices have risen a lot also.... so why do people think a stronger Dinar is better for Iraqis? (besides a better price on imported items)
OOTW: YES THE FIAT CURRENCY SYSTEM IS A SCAM
Donnie: while the dollar is strong it only benefits us if we exchange to another countries currency and go to that country and buy goods/vacation/etc.
OOTW: SO, SO TRUE
Donnie: so if/when the dollar drops in value our goods will cost even more for us because the imports costs will rise. thus we are royally screwed.
OOTW: WE ALREADY ARE DONNIE - THERE WILL BE MORE BAILOUTS FOR BANKS

Donnie: so with the dollar at record highs, our imported goods should cost less but they don't. so who is getting all this money?
