chattels: As the fighting continues and the Iraqi forces seem to be winning, one can only hope that those involved will take heed of the words of Iraq’s most senior Shiite cleric, Ali al-Sistani, who preached that security forces should protect civilians at Friday prayers last week: “Saving innocent people from harm’s way is the most important thing, even more so than targeting the enemy,” the cleric said.

chattels: Sadr’s plan completely backfired, but it didn’t appear he had a follow up strategy.
chattels: Parliament is no closer to coming together and moving on Abadi’s reforms that Sadr has been demanding. In fact, the marches and continued moves into the Green Zone are perpetuating the current crisis.
chattels: Sadr has always aspired to be the dominant figure in Iraqi politics. His problem is that he never appears to think long term. The on going protests are a perfect example. He succeeded in taking over the Baghdad protests and the Green Zone, but there is nothing else to his strategy. Iraqi politics has been effectively blown up by Sadr’s actions, and he has no solutions to what he’s created other than to continue on his path.

OOTW: The Supreme Judicial Council has decided to direct the Ministry of Justice teaches behavior Judicial Institute judiciary , pointing out that the procedure contributes to fortify the independence of self - judge on the one hand and the rest of theauthorities on the other.
The judge said Abdul Sattar Bayrakdar spokesman, said that "the Supreme Judicial Council held its (seventh) for the year 2016, and discussed the files listed on its agenda."
He Bayraktar said: "The meeting resulted in a number of decisions, including requiring those in charge of the Judicial Institute, affiliated to the Ministry of Justice, the institute teaches students about the material independence of the judiciary and judicial behavior in the exactitude of the approved rules in the national and international laws."
He said, "I got the consent of employees, regardless of the Supreme Judicial Council salaries in all the courts of appeal under the presidencies of the smart card (Ki-Card) with the exception of Baghdad and Anbar."
And increased Bayraktar said: "The meeting saw the upgrade of a number of judges and public prosecutors to present items that follow their categories, as well as the movement of a number of others to other locations as required by the public interest."
