SULAIMANI — Kurdish lawmakers will make a decision next Monday (May 16) on a possible return to Baghdad for sessions of the Iraqi Parliament, a Kurdish MP said on Thursday (May 12).

The head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, Ala Talabani, told NRT the heads of the Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi Parliament will meet Kurdish political leaders next Monday to make a decision on whether or not they will return to Baghdad.
Her remarks came after a delegation from the Iraqi Dawa party arrived in Sulaimani and met with members of the PUK and Change Movement (Gorran) blocs of parliament.

Talabani said the delegation called on Kurdish lawmakers to return to Baghdad to resume parliamentary sessions to prevent the parliament from remaining deactivated.

NRT correspondent Bizhar Dadbakh said the Dawa party’s delegation will hold a meeting with the other Kurds blocs to urge them to return to the Iraqi capital.

Kurdish MPs left Baghdad and returned to the Kurdistan Region following the breach of the Green Zone where protesters took over the parliament building.

A number of parliamentarians including deputy speaker Aram Sheikh Mohammed – a Kurd – were attacked by protesters on April 30 as demonstrators tore down security walls and entered the highly fortified International Zone in Baghdad.

Iraq’s Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri said during his visit to Kurdistan Region on May 8 that Kurdish participation is necessary for a session to vote on a cabinet reshuffle in the central government.

Economist reveals that Saudi Arabia would face "structurally bankruptcy."
News source: Ali Salman Section: Economic page May 12, 2016 6:20 am

Zak warned Schreiber hedge fund ceo point State Capitol "of impending financial disaster in Saudi Arabia, was Schreiber had predicted two years ago, falling oil prices, expectations were misplaced.

At the annual Conference of the investment, "Sun", last week said Schreiber, as American media network quoted CNN on Monday May 9: "in front of Saudi Arabia two or three years before it hit the wall," predicted that Saudi Arabia will face "structurally" bankruptcy as it faced threats of huge spending commitments are double and a drop in prices. Commented "no wonder they (the Saudis) owe huge sums."

According to reports, predicting future oil prices decline Schreiber in 2014, when the oil price was over $ 100, expect this to win his company billion dollars, dropping the black gold prices up to $ 26 in the slightest.

The Economist believes that falling oil prices create a crisis in Saudi Arabia and other countries that rely on oil as a main source of income in their budget, with Saudi Arabia under it with spending cuts and scrambled to collect the cash, and that it intends to obtain a loan of 10 billion dollars from a group of banks, which may pave the way for the first international bond sale.

The problem faced is they need higher oil prices to more than $ 100 a barrel for breakeven in its budget, and then start Configure surpluses.
The Kingdom spent heavily on additional services for their populations aged around 30 million, so the "huge social spending programme of Saudi Arabia headed for collision with cheap oil," Schreiber.

These fears may help explain why the Saudis planning to sell a share of 5% of the country's economic crown jewel, the giant State-owned oil company, Aramco.

Commented Schreiber on the issue, saying: "if they sold the goose that lays the golden eggs, how will finance anything? It's crazy. Saudi Arabia pledged her future to gain time. "

tman23 says():This is what is important......remember this is an election year and the nose dive of the economy will NOT favor Dems..... The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits unexpectedly rose last week to the highest level in more than a year, raising further concerns about the health of the labor market in the wake of a slowdown in job gains in April.

Other data on Thursday showed import prices increased in April for a second straight month, suggesting that the disinflationary impulse from a strong dollar and lower oil prices, which has helped to hold inflation well below the Federal Reserve's 2 percent target, was fading.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 20,000 to a seasonally adjusted 294,000 for the week ended May 7, the highest level since late February 2015, the Labor Department said. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast initial claims slipping to 270,000 in the latest week.

"Jobless claims have moved sharply higher in recent weeks, reinforcing concerns that labor market conditions have softened in response to the slowdown in the economy in recent months," said Jim Baird, chief investment officer at Plante Moran Financial Advisors in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
