Mamouri said of agency/JD/: that governmental solutions to the current financial crisis besetting the country futile, including external borrowing which could not be achieved because there is a crisis of confidence between the Iraqi Government and international banks and even countries friendly to Iraq,

as Iraq may not be able to pay its debts in the future in the absence of an integrated infrastructure in addition to the lack of vital productive sectors can be a substitute for oil as agriculture, industry and tourism, as well as the Iraq war waged against terrorist gangs which need significant funds.

Tootsie: on a lighter side ~ A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination. He looked at the old pages as he turned them. Then something fell out of the Bible and he picked it up an looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree that had been pressed in-between the pages. "Mommy, look what I found," the boy called out. "what have you got there, dear?" his mother asked. With astonishment in the young boy's voice, he answered: "It's Adam's clothes!!!!!"   Tootsie: Have a great day, ~

OOTW: "Hub - in order for a sovereign nation to engage in international trade, they have to have some method to exchange value for the product…who wants the dinar as it sits…no one…

arguments are that iraq has been trading with a tradable currency, yes they have…the dollar but no more…by constitution must use the dinar.

i am very pumped about the next day or so. [did I read it right that Iraq want to have their currency close to their neighbors currency?] tad bit above is what i think was said…

i personally think in the3.60 to 3.90 range…from day one the iraq ptb always stated ri plus 20 % inflation."
OOTW: FROM BLUE - TY BLUE! "Okay... which neighbor? I am in utter disbelief that the way things are... that the CBI could even begin to dictate that the IQD is worth 3.60.

I am much more inclined to look at the other neighbors, all struggling with low oil prices... like say.... Saudi Arabia.. which has a Rial worth about 25 cents. That would be a dream come true.

A dinar worth a buck would be beyond my wildest expectations. 3.60? that is not feasible in this environment. Maybe back in 2012, when Lagaaard told Shabibi "Jump!"..

but things have gone very much south for Iraq since those days. -Reserves down -Oil down

Cost to fight Daash up ( security and stability) -Iran an Malaki still stopping significant reform.

I mean.. all the things we used to say were needed.. those things are mostly done. –
out of Chapter 7 -new GOI - defense ministers etc - national meeting and more... everything but the HCL..

and still.. they seem to flounder along.. at the whim of Iran... and Maliki walks upright, lives in the palace, and still has his office in the Green Zone.

Reality on the ground all these years later are so different... I dismiss the old thinking of .. RI plus 2%. that is Guru rubbish. Yeah.. I would actually be thrilled with a dime."
