and ways to address the economic and financial crisis through the implementation of urgent action conducive to maximizing the resources of the state to overcome the financial crisis of the 2016 budget. "

OOTW: The Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, confirmed last Friday, the government continues to search for sources of funding out of the economic crisis, including internal and external borrowing and taxation and activating the customs tariff and selling bonds, international and internal subscription and implementation of projects on credit.
A spokesman for the Office Saad al-Hadithi's [where], "The government has drawn up plans in budget 2016 approved by Parliament is in the search for sources of financing be helping and assisting the oil sources, "noting that" the adoption of the budget on oil sources this stage is no longer feasible.

Butifldrm: There has been much Ado about the implementation of the Custom Duties/Tariffs in Iraq.
Butifldrm: The Tariffs have been a hurdle that Iraq has struggled with for years. Now that Iraq economically is between a Rock and a Hard Place and must go to the IMF/World Bank for loans, they are being made to comply with this mandate from the IMF which has been in place for years.
Just like the battle of corruption has been going on for years, and so is this a mandate of the IMF/world bank for Iraq to address, to obtain that loan. The tarrifs will be instituted by controlling the boarders.
Controlling the boarders will address an aspect of the corruption. Not only will the government obtains some income from the tarrifs, but the tarrifs will help maintain Iraq's foreign currency reserves.
I know many of us feel the people will suffer even more when the price of goods in the market increase, The cost of living is considerably lower in Iraq than it is here in the States. http://ift.tt/1P72M0O....

Thank God, for 80% are employed by the government and the majority of the rest are on the ration card system. Iraq must build their alternative economy of agriculture, industry and tourism. I pray it's not a little too late, but in order to do so the Tarrifs must be instituted and Iraq will have to live under even more austerity until they accomplish the IMF/World bank goals.

Butifldrm: Abadi before heading to Switzerland: our economy will emerge stronger from the current crisis Wednesday 20-01-2016 | 10:21:54[Haider Alebadi- EM] Haider Alebadi- EMTwilight News / confirmed Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Wednesday, that the Iraqi economy will emerge stronger from the current crisis, while stressing the need to find resources other than oil, it said that the organization "Daash" lost half of Iraqi territory that was controlled.
Ebadi said in a speech before heading to Susara, this evening, to participate in the Davos Forum, "we went to Switzerland and our participation in the Davos forum is aimed at supporting the economy and the financial side in Iraq," noting that "the Iraqi economy will emerge stronger from the current crisis planning and development."
Abadi stressed the need to "find alternative sources of oil to support the economy after a sharp decline in world oil prices." On the other hand, confirmed al-Abadi, that "the security forces continues to progress at a time Daash continue to decline," pointing out that "Daash lost 40 to 50% of the territory that was controlled, so the world should hear these victories."
And directed Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi earlier on Wednesday, to Switzerland to participate in the Davos World Economic Forum. And it launched, today, the work of the Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland, and take part in the Forum more than 2,500 of the most important decision-makers in the world's heads of state and government as well as ministers and owners of companies.
