it is very obvious that the IMF, GOI and CBI are shooting for a major event in the near future..IMO.....and that is in keeping with what they told the world that Iraq is expected to join the economy market during the 1st half of 2016.

This position was first appointed to Shaways and Zebari was appointed Deputy PM.... Shaways did not want the FoM position and requested he and Zebari switch......Abadi approved.
Zebari did not have the experience to be Minister of Finance and never wanted the position to begin with.....He was placed to keep the communication with the KRG as a trusted source on the countries revenues......which were bankrupt when he took the office

When Maliki appointed Alak through a vote of the Council of Ministers......the GOI was operating as a caretake government which at the time the law states.......The caretaker government shall not appoint any positions....so by the laws of Iraq.....Alak can be replaced without an argument for the courts....

tman23 says(): The market and investors do not like UNCERTAINTY...... And uncertainty has hurt both the KRG and GOI........ Barzani said last month that the KRG will have it's government issues solved before the beginning of March....... Abadi appears to be on the same fast trac with the GOI.......
The question becomes.......with the reshuffling of the deck in Iraq government positions......how plausible is it to see a change in value of the currency until the new people are seated and the dust settles.......

Friday 12-02-2016 | 7:41:05 Twilight News / arrived hundreds of Iraqi soldiers into northern Iraq as a base during the past twenty-four hours to prepare for the restoration of the city of Mosul operations from the hands of jihadists, according to the officers said Friday.
Reporters saw AFP in a drunken base, about 70 kilometers southeast of Mosul, about 700 soldiers from the 15th Special Forces Division arriving at the base late Thursday.
And arrived more soldiers to the base Friday, according to the participant officer in charge of the restoration of the province of Nineveh, which Mosul is the capital's security command said, from the hands of the organization of the Islamic state.
The ceremony took place to take them in within the areas controlled by the government of the Kurdistan region of Iraq drunken base.
